Q: What are these blocks made of? Are these blocks free of harmful chemicals, including lead, phthlate, PVC, BPA, and chlorine? Do they have strong chemical odor or smell?
A: Although I have NOT purchased these blocks, I have read reviews on other sites that indicate a strong chemical smell upon washing - wondering if anyone else has experienced the same (?)

Q: Can these blocks be washed in the washing machine, on gentle cycle?

Q: Are these blocks machine washable or only surface washable?
A: Hi Joyce, The Mach & Build Soft Blocks can be machine washed in cold water and laid flat to dry. They should not be put in the dryer. Best, Your Friends at Melissa & Doug
