This is the best available Bourbon here in Colorado. The taste is a full step up from KC9 and worth the little bit of price different. I haven't had the problem with corks like others have, my only problem is when you get a little piece of wax when you pour every long once in awhile...so not a big deal. Over all go buy this! 5/5 for me.

Fix the knobs! Top separated from the cork, while twisting off, the bottle leaks with the cork plugged down. Everyone does not use a shelf because we are on the go. Bottles lay in a truck seat!

single barrel... 9 year aged.... well priced.... what more needs to be said! I cannot get the idea of a cherrie tootsie pop out of my head on the aroma. Must have on the shelf at all times.

i love to make barrel aged cocktails, well, cocktails in general. okay, craft cocktails to be specific. And i have learned to use the best ingredients possible. that means making my own clear ice cubes and spheres. using real maraschino cherries and bitters beyond the old standby's. And of course, using the best spirits possible. which brings up knob creek rye. it has a higher proof than most rye whiskeys which means it can stand up to barrel aging as well as a cocktail made for my wife and me. and the flavor profile hits the sweet spot that i am looking for.

Knob Creek, as always, is often overlooked in favor of brands with more hype/"better" marketing. In my opinion, however, their products never cease to be incredible. Knob Creek rye is a fantastic experience, featuring soft notes of grapes/red fruits, salted caramel, and a touch of nuttiness. For an inexpensive sipping whisky, this is one to stock.

Dear Knob Creek Distillery, I've had different varieties of Knob Creek Whiskey over the years and several months ago I picked up a bottle of your Twice Barreled Rye, 100 proof. I do like a good whiskey and thought this would be something I might enjoy and I was not let down. It has proven to be the smoothest tasting whiskey I've ever had and I've drank a lot of top-notch brands over the years, some expensive and some not. This was a medium-priced bottle, about $60. Not too bad, something I can live with that. But the product I received has dwarfed all other whiskeys I've had past years. A truly exceptional bottle. It has great flavor and is just so, so smooth, I've never had anything like it. The only problem I now have is I have a new standard by which I find myself judging other whiskeys. In a way it's actually kind of sad. But I'll find a way to get over it. Currently I'm unable to find the Twice Barreled Rye in the stores I've checked but hopefully someday I'll come across it again. Knob Creek, Thank you for all your hard work, attention to detail and dedication to the craft. You do your forefathers justice. Sincerely, Pete D. Seidenberger USN Retired

balanced smoothness with loads of flavor, but not in your face. perfect for sipping straight up. would make a great mixer, but don't waste it! great mouthfeel, notes of oak, caramel, smokey vanilla, not too sweet. Did i say smooth? Best for the money by far...heck, best overall by far!!!

I must confess I like Knob creek period.......the rye is a good brew ..sure there are ryes with more bite of the rye spice ;however, this rye once sipped lets you know rye is the grain and yet does not open up your sinuses ...a pleasant whisky with enough oak and rye to kick a bit...it is what I go to when I desire a little change from the excellent nine year old Knob Creek bourbon.......a great sipping whisky after a hard day ..just be responsible ..after all it is a real rye whisky.

classic rye spiciness with notes of vanilla, caramel and oak. A nice smooth finish that lingers warmly on the palate. My go to for a Manhattan and stellar in a rye buck!

I drink my whiskey neat to get the true flavor. This has a upfront bite, carmel flavor, aged Barrel tones with some vanilla accent. Overall very nice.

one of my favorites. I love to sip this and chase with a cola or dr. pepper. The oakwood is distinct . I am surprised this drink doesn't cost more.

Easy Enough To DRINK. Clearly Well CRAFTED. A SLIGHTLy out of balance toasty, roasty note that perhaps indicates use of malted rye (or more likely a higher percentage than usual of malted barley). Some spice, but less brightness and spice than I'd expect from a rye. A little earthy/herbal. soft for its proof. tasty, but relatively uninteresting. i'd prefer a higher percentage of rye in the mash bill than what this tastes like.
Very good

I agree with the last poster; Great stuff, nice big bottle, but little bitty knob on top of the cork. I took a chance on this and I'm glad I did.
