Directions

Shake well before use. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply: after 80 minutes of swimming or sweating. Immediately after towel drying. At least every 2 hours. Sun protection measures. Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease this risk, regularly use a sunscreen with a Broad Spectrum SPF value of 15 or higher and other sun protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats and sunglasses.

    horrible rash!!!!!

    I am so disappointed. I've used Sun Bum sporadically bc they've sponsored surf comps that my children have competed in. I used this product for 4 days straight a couple of weeks ago at the beach. I broke out in red bumps everywhere that I had used this oil. The rashes have almost cleared up, but I'll never touch this stuff again. I'm just shocked at what it did to my skin!!!

    Tan not worth the Rash and Bumps!!

    I have never had a reaction like this to sunscreen. I wouldn't even label myself as having sensitive skin. I used this on vacation and I broke out with red itchy bumps all over my body. It's been two days and I still have them and my arms are slightly swollen. I don't even have any known allergies, but I could not figure out what was going on. I finally looked up this product and saw I'm not alone in my experience. I usually love sun bum products but now I do not recommend!

    Golden Brown!

    As advertised. Protected while bronzed my skin. Will be using this SPF oil on repeat this Summer. Gave 4 out 5 stars for the fragrance. While the coconut, banana fragrance is nostalgic and yummy, it's a bit too much.

    So much lighter than cream sunscreen! 10/10 would repurchase and I recommend. It does leave a residue on your hands but you can just wash it off with soap and water. Also it works to make you more tan!

    Immediately developed a rash

    Right after applying this I developed little red bumps all over my body (where this was applied). After reading the reviews on here, it seems this happened to a lot of people. Discontinuing use & will definitely be returning it.

    Gave me a rash!!!! It’s worst in the spots where I rubbed it in but didn’t get much sun like back of legs and inside of thighs. Very disappointed

    READ THE REVIEWS! I did not see these reviews. I have the worst rash ever (the tiny bumps have bumps!!!) something in the oil made my skin sun sensitive. Ruined my chances of walks on the beach or time in the sun because of the rash gets hit by the sun it gets worse.

    This definitely protects me a lot. I like to apply everywhere and tan for 20 mins front and back and then apply a stronger sunscreen after that because this is only SPF 15. It works really well, I get a really wonderful tan as a result and it's a bronze-y color and I feel very healthy afterwards.

    BEWARE OF ALMOND OIL!

    It’s shocking that this company doesn’t very clearly disclose that this product contains ALMOND oil which is a major allergen for people with tree nut allergies. It is outrageous that consumers are expected to comb through the ingredient lists to avoid serious health risks as it’s unusual for almond oil to be in these products. I broke out in itchy red rashes all over my body that have only gotten worse 4 days later, even after taking Benadryl and scrubbing the product off as soon as I realized what was in it. Would not recommend.

    Allergic Reaction

    I typically do not write negative reviews. I read the existing reviews for this product and they were mixed and gave the product a try. After a few uses, my teenage daughter and I are both covered in a red rash and hives from an allergic reaction. Boy, I wish I had listened to the negative reviews and this issue. Made us miserable on vacation and still paying the price.

    Great tanning oil

    I have used Sun Bum since it came out years ago, and this tanning oil is the best. Clean ingrediants compared to others, and I start to use the tanning oil after I received a base tan while using the higher spf Sun Bum tanning lotion. Never fails to give me a deep dark tan!

    One of My Favorite Summer Products

    It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and not greasy! Also makes me look bronzed and shiny, big fan of this product! I have relatively sensitive skin and haven't had a problem with breakouts/rashes or itchy skin with this tanning oil. Plus, it smells amazing

    Wow, I wish I had read these reviews, I have the same experience, itchy red rash everywhere I used the oil spray. Burning red rash that is so itchy. I last used the spray 2 days ago and the rash is still as bad as it’s been. I love sun bum, but this tanning spray is bad news.

    Allergic reaction that sent me into anaphylaxis

    I used this oil a couple times on vacation and several days later I developed hives on my entire body and eventually went into anaphylaxis and wound up in the ER due to this product. I will never purchase anything from Sun Bum again. It was a nightmare.

    This product should not be allowed on the market and Sun Bum should be sued for putting it out in the market and leave it there after all these negative reviews. Just like everybody else I developed a horribly painful and itchy red bumpy rash all over my arms and legs as did my wife and children!!! Watch, Sunbum will just reply with the same canned response to this view as they did with every other review
