Flonase Allergy Relief and Flonase Sensimist are two different products. Flonase Allergy Relief Nasal Spray contains Fluticasone propionate (glucocorticoid) as active ingredient. It temporarily relieves symptoms of hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose, itchy, watery eyes. Onset of action of Fluticasone propionate in the treatment of allergic rhinitis has been observed in some patients as early as 2-4 hours after use, with most users achieving symptomatic relief within 12 hours of treatment. Fluticasone propionate is not recommended for the children under 4 years of age. Flonase Sensimist Allergy Relief Nasal Spray contains Fluticasone furoate as an active ingredient. It temporarily relieves symptoms of hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: temporarily relieves these symptoms of hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose, itchy, watery eyes (for ages 12 and older). Onset of action of Fluticasone furoate has been observed as early as 8 hours after initial administration. Fluticasone furoate is not recommended for the children under 2 years of age. GSKCH has not conducted any comparative studies between the different formulations and thus, unable to comment on it. Both the formulations of Fluticasone, i.e., propionate and furoate have been proven to be clinically effective, when used as per the label. A: Hello, please note that It’s important to take your FLONASE nasal spray dose regularly in order for it to work effectively. It may take several days to feel relief. However, do not exceed the recommended dosage, as this will not improve or speed up the results. Dosage For Adults Adults should take two sprays of FLONASE in each nostril once a day for the first week. After that, use one or two sprays in each nostril once a day as needed. If your symptoms are still present after six months of daily use, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
