Q&A(12)

Q: Is this litter flushable?

submitted by Stefinitely - 9 years ago
  • A: not unless you want your toilets to backup.

submitted byscreen name - 8 years ago
  • A: I have used this for decades and have had ZERO problems flushing. However, I only flush clumps. For a full change of litter, I use a biodegradable bag and put it out with the regular trash.

submitted byCarol - 2 years ago
  • A: I have been flushing it for 4 months now, with no problem. I know others who have been flushing it for a lot longer than that. It is not clay litter; if you don't have some kind of hinky septic system, you should be ok.

submitted byPurrsia - 8 years ago
  • A: Great question Stefinitely, the answer is yes! All World’s Best Cat Litter™ formulas have undergone rigorous testing to confirm they are sewer and septic safe. Unlike clay-based litters, World’s Best Cat Litter™ harnesses the concentrated power of corn, so you can simply scoop, flush* and move on with your day!

Q: Does this have any scent? Or does it smell the same as the regular World's best Cat litter--the stuff in the green bag?

submitted by phdrunner - 4 years ago
  • A: Thanks for the question! No, it's unscented. Our Multiple Cat Unscented formula is just like the Original Unscented formula (the "green bag"), but it has additional all-natural plant material for enhanced odor control to stand up to multiple-cat homes.

  • A: No, it is unscented. Although we have only one cat, we prefer the multiple cat unscented formula in the red bag. In our opinion, it seems to keep odors away a little better than the original green bag.

Q: What other chemicals are in this litter, specifically which ingredient makes it clump and which chemicals control odor?

submitted by mcoffeesnob - 5 months ago
  • A: World’s Best Cat Litter® does not contain Sodium Bentonite, which is commonly used in clay litters as a clumping agent. The corn's ability to absorb moisture and the natural starches in the corn allow it to clump. World’s Best Cat Litter® contains no harmful chemicals, clays, or perfumes. Q: Can this litter be used in automatic litter boxes?

submitted by Connie - 8 months ago
  • A: Hi there, we have had a lot of positive feedback from customers who use our litter with various types of automatic litter boxes. Our litter granules clump moisture on contact and doesn’t stick to the litter box.

Q: Are there any California prop 65 warnings in your product?

submitted by Sandra - 9 months ago
  • A: Hi there! All formulas of World’s Best Cat Litter® are made from whole kernel corn and plant components. We follow all labeling requirements for our products, including Prop 65 labeling which was formerly listed on our Advanced Pine formula packaging as required by the State of California for litter containing wood. This formula has long since been discontinued and currently, Prop 65 does not apply to any of our World’s Best Cat Litter® formulas.

Q: How often should the full litter box be changed?

submitted by JS - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi there, this depends on the litter box habits of your cat(s). Many of our users don't change the litter box at all, but just scoop and replace with fresh litter to keep 2-3 inches in the box at all times. Others notice with one cat, after about 38 days they will fully replace the old litter with all new. On our website, you can see own in-home tests of how long our litter lasted for a certain number of cats under each formula page. Q: Is it safe for cats to eat if consumed accidentally? Asking bc I recently tried out a grass seed litter and 1 of my cats likes to eat it! I'm worried since its corn it will make her want to eat it more and be bad for her.

submitted by Cat mom liz - 1 year ago
  • A: Because we are made from natural ingredients, litter digested will pass through the animal's system naturally. Although it is not unusual for pets to want to sample or taste the litter when it is first introduced, you will want to make sure your pet is using the product as it is intended for animal litter. If your pet continues ingesting large quantities, we recommend discontinuing use, as it will not meet your pet’s nutritional needs.
