So much neater then dealing with those slippery shells. The deep wells are perfect for some nice garlicy herb butter and the snails themselves. The cast iron holds heat and keeps the butter nice and melted. They make a nice statement on the table.

I love making escargot and I am really happy I found these escargot dishes because they are typically made out of ceramic and I love that these are made out of cast iron so that the when I am serving the escargot, it stays hot and browns the butter (the best part of escargot in my opinion!). These are also really easy to clean.

This dish screams celebration! What a festive event, such as NYE, could look like with this versatile dish; imagine escargot and champagne sips for everyone! I use this for so many other creations as well, individual servings of stuffing during the hoidays, eggs and spinch for brunch, or hash brown cups with eggs in the middle! This really has so many uses and is only limited by one's imagination.

This is a very versatile pan. Designed by the French for escargot, it translates to other recipes that result in single bites of something delicious. I've made takoyaki, (Japanese small bites of seafood and vegetables in a batter), Ebelskivers (Danish individual pancakes that look like donut holes and taste like heaven.) This pan induces a lot of creativity. Great for getting kids to eat just about anything!

hubby likes escargot and received this as a gift. i tried a few things and my new favoite it to prepare crab balls in this pan. i start with butter and old bay in the bottom, then i mix crab an some breadcrumb into little balls and heat in the oven .When I serve them in the dish they come our so warm and buttery, the butter is partly absorbed by the bread crumbs.. my friends love then and 1/2 lb of crab makes an awesome appetizer

Great dish that is oven safe up to 500 degrees! It is very easy to clean and is enameled, so you do not have to season!

Snails are not really my thing, but this dish is! It is so perfect for corn muffins, small buns or meatballs. This cast iron heats up perfectly so you get very nice browning. I also love that it holds its heat keeping your food warm for serving. It's nice that unlike traditional cast iron, this can be washed with soap and water and does not have to be seasoned.

This specialty dish isn't for everyone but if you love escargot or other shellfish that is cooked nicely in individual cups of buttery goodness this is for you! Once you have it you are free to use if for other things like mini muffins, or meatballs. Like all Staub it is the highest quality cast iron with black matte coating that cleans up beautifully!

While I have used this for escargot, I prefer to brown mussels, scallops and oysters in this also, as they come out perfectly browned! Shellfish are great in this dish, perfect for appetizers or as a side dish to a special meal! The cast iron heats these evenly and they come out as they should.

I have to admit I only like Escargot in restaurants. However I have discovered plenty of other uses for this pan. Since it's cast iron it heats up quickly and evenly, stays hot when batter is poured in and cooks perfectly. Great for pop overs, sticky buns, ebelskivers and corn muffins.

I may be one of the few people who loves escargot. This piece is perfect for the dish. Staub cookware can get so hot, up to 500F in the oven, it takes just minutes to cook the snails. We don't use shells as the the cast iron produces an almost like sear on the top of the snails while the bottom is sitting in all that butter and garlic.
