Q: Is this Induction compatible?
A: Yes, the 8" skillet can be used on a induction stove top. Pick up do not slide and always start on low heat and slowly work up temperature.

Q: how do you clean this cast iron skillet
A: Wash the skillet with hot water, cleaning with a nylon bristle brush or non-scratch pad, rinse with hot water, hand-dry immediately, and rub the surface with cooking oil. Now the pan is ready to be used or stored.

Q: CAN THIS BE USED ON ELECETRIC STOVE
A: Lodge seasoned cast iron skillets can be used on various cooking surfaces including an electric stovetop. Our silicone hot handle holders are for stovetop use, sliding it on or off the product when needed.

Q: Is this pre-seasoned?
A: @FirstTimeMom - Yes, Lodge does an initial seasoning before packing. All you need to do before use is rinse with warm water, hand dry, and rub with cooking oil. After that it is ready to start cooking! Thanks, Lodge Customer Care

Q: Can these be used on a glass top stove? Or will the rough cast iron scratch the stove?
A: @Jase - The 8" cast iron skillet cooks great on glass top stoves; however, you may want to contact your stove manufacturer for their recommendations. Cast iron should always be preheated gradually and lifted before moving. Try to avoid sliding or spinning it on the stove top. Thanks, Lodge Customer Care
