Literally never write reviews but I probably used just a half dose for the first time on my low porosity 2a hair with no heat damage or dyes and it was falling out. So if you have fine hair or concern for any current hair fall don't listen to hairtok this is not for you

Caused hair to fall out
I was so excited to buy this product ... BUT ... I have so many regrets! I normally have thick healthy hair. My hair was falling out after I started using it, but initially I thought it was natural fallout ... by the time I realised it was the 8 Second Wonder Water that was causing the problem it was too late. I stopped using it months ago ... and I find that my hair has never recovered and my hair is so much thinner now. I am very distressed about this!

Works well, scent too strong. Would not rec if sensitive to strong scents
It works well. My hair was really shiny and silky feeling. Just tried for the 3rd time. Using one dose each time. I think last time I used it was 2 years ago. I remember the same positive results on my hair before but the scent is overpowering. The smell lasted over 24 hours even after going around town. I ran the vent in my bathroom for hours and the smell lingered. I had to throw it away bc my family is sensitive to scents.

Excellent for Smooth Hair Without Being Oily!
This is the BEST product if you want smooth hair without making it greasy/oily! All it takes is 8 seconds after you shampoo. Sometimes I use conditioner afterwards, but only for the scent. My hair doesn't need any additional conditioning after using the 8 Second Water Lamellar Treatment! I would expect this product to be much more expensive, so I'm extremely glad Loreal makes it affordable!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) I have waist-length, fine, naturally wavy hair. I usually air-dry, but I do heat style occasionally. This product can work, but it’s far less effortless than the marketing suggests, especially for long hair. The smoothing effect is real once hair is fully dry or styled, but application is the biggest issue. For hair longer than shoulder length, you can’t realistically just pour this on quickly in the shower and expect even coverage. I had to measure doses, section my hair, and apply carefully, often stepping out of the direct water stream and then rinsing. The “8-second” claim refers only to massage time — not total application time. In reality, it takes several minutes to apply correctly on long hair. It does not reduce frizz during air-drying if you don’t use a leave-in, so results are more noticeable after blow-drying or styling. When applied well, hair does feel smoother and slightly shinier, but the payoff depends heavily on technique. Bottom line: This is a decent product, but not as foolproof or low-effort as advertised — particularly for long hair. If you’re willing to take extra time to apply it properly, you’ll see benefits. If you’re looking for a quick, no-thinking rinse-out for long hair, this may feel underwhelming.

Severe chemical and allergic reactions.
This product gave me an awful allergic reaction and burned my neck as I was trying to rinse it out. It literally felt like I was being burned by a lighter. It should NOT be used by anyone other than a professional. Furthermore it did NOTHING for my hair except ruin my extensions. This product needs to be removed from the market. I can't imagine if a child was to accidentally get this on their skin.

Chemical burn allergic reaction
Do NOT use this product if you have sensitive skin. It burned by neck and gave me a very bad allergic reaction. This stuff got on my neck as I was rinsing the ends of my hair and it felt like I got burned by a lighter. Also it did nothing for my hair This is not for at home use. Maybe in a salon

Nothing makes my hair feel softer or smoother. Yes you use a LOT of product per use - max 8 applications per bottle (marked on bottle - I use 1.5-2 applications per use because I have a lot of hair). But you don’t use it every wash. For me it’s most effective when used every other week. I know I have used enough product when it forms a thick rich lather. When I rinse, it feels like a miracle transformation!
