Blake Brown Sandalwood Vanille Fundamental Strengthening Mask - 8 oz

Love everything about it! I go 2-3 days without washing and do one wash strengthening and one wash nourishing like Blake said and my hair has been amazing. I have down to my butt hair and A Lot of it and the conditioners have lasted a month+ for me. I’m only needing to repurchase both conditioners and my hair just wants more of it. My hair has never been so shiny and bouncy and healthy feeling. I know the packaging is a bit or miss with people, but I honestly love it because it forces me to slow down and not rush through my showers when I need that down time to enjoy the shower after a long day with 3 small kids.

Please remove the drying isopropyl alcohol

I bought both shampoos and conditioners and the leave in solely based off the scent and the fact it was supposedly modeled after Kersatase (which I use and love but have been looking for a more affordable alternative). I was NOT expecting much from this, especially after seeing Blakes hair in the ads. And usually I am let down by celebrity lines. Plus I am so picky with my shampoo and conditioners in general. After using the system exclusively for a month I am blown away. I have dark blonde hair that is never really shiny, and my hair SHINES now. I have never seen it like that. It feels thick, full ,fluffy and just better. Plus it smells amazing and the scent really lasts. I really put the system to the test this past week, I bleached my hair 4x in a week trying to go blonder, so it definetly got damaged. And you would never know, its silky and soft and feels so healthy. Honestly one of my favorite purchases in a long time. The bottles are a little annoying but the product is so good I dont even care about the packaging. I kinda like that it looks so different than anything you normally see in the store.

I wanted to love this line, sincerely. I used it as directed for over a month and exclusively. Alternately between the two shampoo and mask pairings and shampooing every other day at most. I have sensitive skin. The fragrance is over powering. Lovely. But very strong. And irritating to my scalp. My scalp broke out in itchy red bumps. It was flaky and dry. Irritated and angry. My hair was flat. Oily. And course. Knotted and dry. And I’m so bummed. Genuinely hoped that this would provide the body and hydration it promised but it made my hair look great for about 4 days. Then things took a turn for the worst and never recovered. I’m switching back to my salon brand. My back of my neck and forehead broke out as well as around my face and I think it’s just the strong perfumes and oils. I’m returning the unopened bottles and discontinuing use. It smells amazing but I actually find myself cringing at the thought of using it again because my scalp is so irritated and uncomfortable. Definitely do not stock up if you plan to try it. The bottles are also awkward to hold in the shower and weird to manage to hold grab product and get the cap screwed back on because everyone is so large and chunky and awkwardly shaped. A flip top would have been a much better design option. I find myself searching for a place to set the mega cap of the mask down while I try to lift out product without getting water in the tub and then get the mask on the hair while getting g the cap back on without dropping the product on the floor - it’s a pain.

First, I have waist length, extremely fine, very dense, low porosity hair. When short it is 2b-2c, but the length alone since it’s so fine pulls it down to 1b-2a. Actually a 188k subscribers haircare YouTuber and may include this in a 2024 roundup video. Not worth it’s own. I have only tried this one mask from the line and I’m so unimpressed that I won’t be getting anything else. The scent was very strong and hard to layer with other products outside of the brand. I did like it (the scent) and I wasn’t allergic to the fragrance, but it’s pretty 2010 style “unisex”. FWIW, when I use perfume I use spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf which is marketed somewhere between unisex and men’s Cologne. The scent, it lasted noticeably until the next wash too. While the product felt like a mask in hand and when applied, it wasn’t different in affect than a light conditioner, not even a heavier conditioner. I left it on for several minutes each time I tried it. My hair seemed drier even with still using a leave in conditioner and hair oil as usual. Sooooo, not very good at its job? My Oribe ($52) and Viori (BOGO for $15) are both waaaayyyyyyy better. Also did not add shine. Overall, if you’re wanting a hair perfume, this is probably a pretty good product. I would use it on undamaged, low porosity hair combined with a conditioner and/or a leave in. Like, a separate in shower step to make your hair really smell nice for the entire week long No-shower camping trip. Or one night in a packed bar where perfume would be too much but strongly scented hair desirable. I’m not returning it, but it is now my emergency stash conditioner at my parents’ place and not regular rotation. I’d have given 3 stars as “okay” but this is too expensive for x performance effect for only y amount of product provided. So 2 stars.

Love the smell and made my hair so shiny, soft and smooth. I have naturally curly hair that I blow out and straighten and I noticed a difference as well as my mom when she saw me! Def recommend!

My hair has never been softer! And it smells AMAZING! Overall, I have curly hair that is thick and frizzy most of the time, but this has left my hair so smooth and easy to brush after showering. My hair brush glides through my hair so effortlessly!

I don’t use hair masks ever, so I was dubious about subbing my regular conditioner for this product. I’m so glad to be proven WRONG. It’s smells amazing, feels nourishing and doesn’t weigh down the hair. I’ve told everyone I know to go buy this immediately.

This does not help your hair after the dry and almost stripping shampoo. This almost feels like it is just a perfume mask because somehow my hair feels dryer after leaving this on for any amount of time.

Dried my hair out so bad. My hair was beautiful and full of life until I started using this. My hair is so dry and damaged looking now and I finally had gotten my hair to the length I wanted and I’ll probably have to chop it all off now. Also gave me severe dandruff

I loved the smell of the product, even though technically I know it isn't a non-toxic product, but the amount of product in this was minimal at best. I do have long hair and a lot of it, but to only get a few washes out of it was unusual for me. The worst part for me was that it caused acne. Not just little bumps but cystic bumps. I think reviews saying bad reviews are left because of the drama are really silly. I could care less about the drama...I just want nice hair and unfortunately this product could not deliver. At 39 years old, I don't ask for much, but greasy hair in the morning after just washing my hair the night before should not be happening. Acne at 39 years old should not be happening. I went from perfectly clear skin to acne anywhere my hair touched. It has been two weeks since I stopped using and it is going away now and I am so thankful it was just the products and nothing else. I think for the price and amount you get, plus the fact it isn't a non-toxic product, along with it causing acne, I will not be buying again.

I finally bought the sold out conditioner after having the shampoo for awhile. I love the smell and it does make my hair super soft. I can see a difference with my hair. It seems to be less frizzy.

This mask was just okay in my opinion, surprisingly the strengthening set of this line felt more hydrating than the nourishing set but my hair still felt slightly dry after using it, and seemed to tangle easier than after using other masks I’ve used for way cheaper. I wouldn’t say it’s a horrible product but I had much higher hopes and will be returning and switching back to my cheaper drugstore mask which seems to make my hair much shinier and stronger anyway.

I love this mask. It really works for me. I have thicker, wavy hair. The smells is really wonderful too. I let it set for a few minutes and only use the mask on the bottom part of my hair. I rinse it out really well and use the leave in magic potion. I REALLY hope Blake makes hair perfume mist next! I can’t get over how good this whole line smells!

This line of products left my hair dry, frizzy, and brittle. I used this mask after the strengthening shampoo and it felt like it did nothing but strip moisture from my hair. My hair is more damaged than I started with.
