Blake Brown Wild Nectar Santal Fundamental Nourishing Mask - 8oz

I wanted to love this line, sincerely. I used it as directed for over a month and exclusively. Alternately between the two shampoo and mask pairings and shampooing every other day at most. I have sensitive skin. The fragrance is over powering. Lovely. But very strong. And irritating to my scalp. My scalp broke out in itchy red bumps. It was flaky and dry. Irritated and angry. My hair was flat. Oily. And course. Knotted and dry. And I’m so bummed. Genuinely hoped that this would provide the body and hydration it promised but it made my hair look great for about 4 days. Then things took a turn for the worst and never recovered. I’m switching back to my salon brand. My back of my neck and forehead broke out as well as around my face and I think it’s just the strong perfumes and oils. I’m returning the unopened bottles and discontinuing use. It smells amazing but I actually find myself cringing at the thought of using it again because my scalp is so irritated and uncomfortable. Definitely do not stock up if you plan to try it. The bottles are also awkward to hold in the shower and weird to manage to hold grab product and get the cap screwed back on because everyone is so large and chunky and awkwardly shaped. A flip top would have been a much better design option. I find myself searching for a place to set the mega cap of the mask down while I try to lift out product without getting water in the tub and then get the mask on the hair while getting g the cap back on without dropping the product on the floor - it’s a pain.

Used product after the shampoo. Did exactly what it is intended to do conditioned the hair. Smells amazing

This is probably the only product from the Blake line that I somewhat like, but there are far better products like this on the market. The smell is nice, consistency is nice and rich and my hair does feel softer when I rinse it out. I purchased the entire Blake Brown line when it came out and over the last month of consistently using it, my hair health has steadily declined. I have naturally wavy/frizzy hair and it is drier and frizzier than before. I‘ve gone from washing my hair 2 days a week to washing every other day. Styled hair just does not last. And more recently my scalp has started breaking out with very itchy painful bumps and I’m experiencing a ton of hair loss. Officially discontinuing and going back to my old regimen.

I was skeptical especially after all the negative reviews to try it, but I am very cautious about the products I use in my hair and I did like the ingredients so I still decided to give it a try. I bought this one honestly because it smelt the best. It performed well for a $19.99 mask. I know we are on a budget but quality hair care will cost and that is just how it is people will disagree but my results are because of quality and pricier products. My hair is dry, long, brittle, and colored yet it felt good after this mask. I’m not going to say it was the best thing ever but I would repurchase purely because the smell and results were satisfactory for me. I recommend trying it for yourself and not based off of other reviews if you are truly curious.

Love the product, my hair is soft and smooth even when I let it air dry. The scent is fantastic! Grown-up, subtle, woodsy version of vanilla honey. But the packaging is frustrating. I dislike opening the entire container and scooping the product out while I'm in the shower. It risks getting water into the bottle and it's very difficult to get the lid back on once I have my product out.

This is absolutely a staple in my hair care routine. I live in an extremely hot and dry climate, and my hair suffers for it! Not to mention I am on the dryer side thanks to highlights (bleach) and have thin hair that tangles easily. This mask really saves my hair and makes detangling and styling a breeze. I will say that the packaging is difficult to manage and store in the shower, but that’s not a deal breaker for me. Don’t even get me started on the scent, everything in this line smells like a dream!

The mask is gimmicky. Just a conditioner. Packaging is reminiscent of Blake herself: inconsiderate and annoying.

I love this line! I alternate both of the shampoo & masks each shower and also use the wonder potion and my hair is so soft & shiny! I get that it might not work for everyone but my hair is loving this!! ❤️

I really wanted to love this. It smells amazing & the packaging is cute but I did not like how it affected my hair. After the wash it’s so smooth and looks gorgeous but after a few hours it will become clumpy and really greasy. I have thick, wavy Hispanic hair and it just did not work well for me.

I loved this product on my hair, as well as smell. However, the bottle design makes it difficult to get product out. It either goops in your nails or falls in shower as you try to get it on your hair before it falls off finger tips. Why didn't they make a squeeze bottle?? Please re-design!!

I absolutely love the smell but I love the way it left my hair even more so. I have dense, thin hair and I’ve used quite a few hair masks. This is by far the best one I’ve used. Not sure what all the bad reviews are about. I’m surprised people don’t like it but maybe it just works best on fine hair

I love this! I use it with the vanilla shampoo because this was the only one in stock, but they still smell great together. My hair is so smooth!

I lie the fragrance and the way my hair felt afterwards. The packaging is beautiful, but awful to use.

Dried my hair out completely, made it brittle, and frizzy. For a nourishing mask it didn’t nourish anything.

If your hair is full of silicone and build up and you use those type of products than this product isn’t gonna work for you. This is for someone who uses some what natural products clarify/detoxes their hair so the product is going on there actual hair not build up.

How does it make hair frizzy and greasy at the same time? I really wanted to like it. I rotated the BB shampoo and mask with my regular shampoo and conditioner just to continue using it because I wanted to like it so badly. It is just so bad.

Destroyed my fine hair. Dried it out and now incredibly damaged after only a few weeks of use. Threw it out so I wouldn’t be tempted to use it further since it’s more than half full.

I was really hoping that this mask would give lots of hydration and shine to my hair since it’s labeled as the nourishing mask but it honestly worked no better than a cheap conditioner and if anything worse. My hair honestly felt pretty dry after using it and kept tangling once it was dry which is rare for me. The scent is nice but that’s really its only plus which is unfortunate since I was hoping to love this line. Already submitted a return and target said I could keep it for a refund but I’m not even sure if I’ll use it again.
