A: It's not, in fact many of the bad reviews aren't even verified and they (as well as the previous answer to this question, that I have reported) are examples of extreme ratings manipulation.

Happily Surprised
Just bought this and was happily surprised. I found the initial scent extremely strong and was concerned but by the next day it had faded signficantly and smelt nice. Also I struggle finding a shampoo that wont leave me greasy the next day or dry and frizzy. I woke up and my hair was shiny and soft, no frizz in sight. I was worried that the pretty shine would lead to quick greasy hair but I was able to go 2 days without washing, minimal grease and usually i need to wash every other day, so win! I hope it continues to do well.

I was excited to use this but it left my hair dry, frizzy, damaged looking. My curls don't look good at all. I do not recommend this product at all. Do not waste your money. So disappointing oh well.

At first I liked it and then I noticed my hair was frizzy and damaged looking after a few weeks. I don't recommend this product at all. Huge let down. Smells good, though but the scent fades quick. Try it yourself.

I absolutely loved this product. The smell was amazing and it made my hair silky soft. The frizzies were gone. I get this product and 11 out of a 10 and I highly recommend it to my friends and family.

Thanks to PinchMe, I was given the opportunity to try Blake Brown Fundamental Nourishing Shampoo. Wow! To start, the bottles they come in, super fancy looking! The combo shampoo/mask: amazing! The shampoo is lightweight, smells great and doesn't leave any film or residue. My hair is so thick but still manages to bounce!

I received a free sample of Blake Brown shampoo and mask from pinchme in exchange for my honest opinion. The packaging is very cute and stylish, it adds a nice touch. The scent is actually very pleasant, and not as strong as when I smelled it in the bottle. I would say the scent is classy, and upscale. I liked that you didn't have to use a lot of product to achieve good results. The shampoo lathers nicely, but left my hair feeling a little too dry and stripped of its natural oils. The mask had a nice creamy texture, but also did not provide as much hydration as I would've expected. I felt like the mask was just a normal conditioner, it was not as thick and moisturizing as you would expect a mask to be. Overall, it provided a nice relaxing shower experience with spa grade smells. The scent stays in your hair for a long time after you've showered, it smells very fresh and put together. I would say my experience overall with the shampoo and mask were just average, neither product was as hydrating as anticipated.

I would buy again
Not gonna lie I had damage bleached hair and this package actually came in perfectly cause I had just bleached my hair. I have curly hair for reference and I also got the mask the wild nectar mask. I used that mask in the shampoo and before my curly quietly hair was like wavy, and after it actually turned curly after drawing.

Does great with hair that's been color treated!
I was a bit skeptical when receiving this product though after just one wash I realized how amazing it is! I absolutely love the scent and with my hair color being unnatural, most shampoos make the hair color bleed horribly if it's not a direct "color shampoo". Honestly makes the color bleed less than my current color treated shampoo products and I just wish there was a bigger size!!!

This product left my hair extremely dry and frizzy and gave me a rash all over my body! The rash and itching went away after I discontinued use of product. Horrible product should not be sold to any consumer.

The only reason I cannot give this a 5 star is the packaging makes it really hard to not get water into the bottle. Absolutely love the smell. I have bleached color treated hair and it hasn't hurt my color or damaged my hair.

Self care for you and your hair
I thoroughly enjoyed how smooth and conditioned my hair was after using the shampoo and hair mask. The shampoo by itself is nice to clean your hair, but you need the mask to get the full effect. The bottle is a funky shape, but at least it's easy to open and modular enough to stack things on top of it. The only thing I don't love about the product is the smell, and I can't figure out if it's the sandalwood component or not.
