Q: My Queen comforter is 96": x 92"W - the exact dimensions of this Queen duvet cover. Won't the duvet cover squish down the comforter? That is, shouldn't the duvet cover be larger than the comforter?
A: I just checked the bare home website, they have a different size chart and show queen as 82x90 which will be perfect for a 90x90 insert.
submitted byMena - 5 years agoA: As someone’s who’s had duvets for decades, you absolutely do not want to get a cover that is bigger than your insert, that is endlessly annoying! I don’t know if you already ordered but I would say the 2” too small cover would be just fine, in fact it would make your duvet seem more puffy. If you’re looking for an exact fit, there are many available covers at 90x90 (if not at target). Other countries have simple sizes for duvets, like we do for beds, this is a huge failure of U.S. bedding manufacturers! I mean, imagine if queen beds were all different sizes and you had to find the right size fitted sheet?!
submitted byMena - 5 years agoA: Our Queen Duvet Cover measures 90" x 90". The dimensions you provided for your Queen Comforter are larger than our Bare Home Duvet Cover. While your Comforter may fit in this Queen Duvet Cover and be very full, it may not be what you are looking for; the Oversized Queen Duvet Cover (98" x 98") might be a better choice for your Queen Comforter. Unfortunately all manufacturers do not use the exact same measurements for their products making it difficult to perfectly match up Covers and Comforters.

Q: Is this just the duvet cover? Or does it also include the inside comforter?
A: This is simply a duvet cover with shams. Comforter/duvet inserts are sold separately.
submitted byBare Home - 6 years agoBrand expertA: Duvets by nature are separate items. If the word duvet is used, it always is a separate insert (comforter) and cover. The only time you get both is it’s a weighted blanket. The confusion is that in the U.S. the insert is called a comforter or insert and the cover is called a duvet. This is incorrect, the word duvet (french) is actually the insert and it’s always called a duvet in other countries. And the cover is called a duvet cover. So it isn’t you! This is because there is complete chaos in American bedding providers!

Q: I see that the measurements are opposite I have a duvet 114x98 and I ordered the oversized king one it should say 116x98 but on your size chart it shows 98x116 is this going to still fit?
A: Great question — I can see how the listed dimensions might be a bit confusing. The measurements 116x98 and 98x116 refer to the same overall size — it just depends on whether the width or length is listed first. For our Oversized King Duvet Cover, the dimensions are 116 inches wide x 98 inches long, which should be a great fit for your 114x98 duvet insert. You may notice a slight extra width (2 inches), which just gives a bit more coverage and breathing room. It shouldn't affect the fit or appearance.

Q: Will the white duvet cover opaque enough to conceal a red comforter placed inside it?
A: We do not think it will fully cover. Red is a tough color to cover over as it’s so saturated.
