From the first pour, it’s deep and inky in the glass, almost signaling what’s coming. On the nose, you get a rich hit of dark fruit, blackberry, ripe plum, and cherry, layered with vanilla, baking spice, and a little cocoa. On the palate, it’s full-bodied and smooth but not shy. There’s a noticeable sweetness up front, not sugary, but ripe fruit-driven. The tannins are soft and approachable, making it super easy to drink. The finish is long, slightly warm, with a touch of spice and lingering fruit

Rich, fruit forward Cabernet.
The Prisoner Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, full flavored cab. It has a fruit forward flavor profile, which is not usually what I like in a Cabernet, but in this case, it adds to the overall drinkability and its very smooth. The artwork on the bottle is beautiful and eye catching as well, and it looks great on display in a wine rack!

Smooth and rich
This Cabernet is super smooth and rich — definitely a treat wine! I love the dark berry flavor and how balanced it tastes without being overly dry. It feels really full-bodied and pairs perfectly with a nice dinner. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the price — it’s a little steep for an everyday bottle. Still, I’d totally grab it again for a special night.

For the price : meh. The bottle itself is what really sold me. Gave me a good giggle. Great marketing for mediocre wine. Pretty standard flavor and hard to specifically identify if compared to other main line vineyards. The Prisoner Cabernet Sauvignon

This was a good, moderately priced Cab. We had it with New York strips with roasted root vegetables. It was a good pairing and we drank the bottle with a little aged cheddar to finish.

I feel like this
I feel like this brand is definitely an acquired taste, and it was not the right fit for me, I would say it would be better if it was a little bit more sweet. It was my first time trying this wine with my friends and it was not what I was expecting. I feel like if you have a more matured palette, then you might enjoy it, but I do gravitate towards the sweeter side.
