Q: Is this waterproof and ok to use to hold water for a bird bath?

A: The fire pit bowl is not waterproof and if you use it as a birdbath it could break down the black powder coating and cause it to flake off. We do not suggest using the fire pit bowl as a birdbath.

Q: is the 23" measurement the inside of the bowl or edge to edge including the lip?

A: Hello, The overall dimensions are overall dimensions: 23.25" outer diameter (21" inner diameter) x 4.75" bowl depth x 5 inches tall; 2.6 lbs. Thank you!
