Viper Elite Series Hot Pink Wrapped Cue

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been playing pool since I have been able to stand (so for about thirty years). Pool is one of my favorite hobbies and I was excited to try out this Viper Elite Series Pool Cue. Nowadays I am mostly an amateur, casual pool player but I have played competitively in college but am definitely rusty at present. First impression of the cue is the hot pink color, which admittedly is a little bit bold and not the most manly looking cue in the room. The white wrap is a nice accent though and compliments it well. My fiancee really liked color and it might work better for a female player. The guys at my local pool hall might give me a hard time if I were to show up with this cue in tow for myself. But aside from looks, The cue feels very solid and well made, especially for the price point! While the designs and art are basic, it performs as well as cues triple its price! The build quality is fantastic and it feels like a more expensive cue in my hands and slides very well and hits consistently. I was able to play a few games with it at my friend's house (since my table is still out of commission after a basement flood). I play with a better, more expensive cue that I've used for years so I can't admit I'd switch to using this cue but I would certainly buy a few of them for my table for guests to use as house cues, especially if it came in a more neutral/manly color! But I would recommend it to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Firstly I must say I am not a girly girl so when it arrived and it was hot pink I was like oh! But to be honest the colour has really grown on me and I am actually liking the fact its not your standard black and wood. I am not the tallest of people, so the cue itself I found a little long for me playing pool, though probably wouldn't be too bad for snooker, however it has a really nice weight and balance to it. Also I personally prefer to grip closer to the end of the cue so I found the hand hold area with the string to be a bit too far up for me and I was half on and off it. It could really do with going closer to the base of the cue to account for different shooting styles. The general shaft of the cue was smooth and felt fine over my resting hand. Overall its a lovely cue, I just needed to be taller to get the full benefit from it, otherwise I probably would use it all the time when playing.

Strong enough to complete any shot you need to make. It is well balanced and well made. The stick I got had a knot in the wood, which personally I didn't mind.
