I have oily eyelids and always need a base but not with this product! Stays all day and even there the next morning if I was lazy and didn't wash my face before bed. Groundworks is a nice slightly cool medium brown that has a satin finish and is the most perfect color ever. I wear this on its own every day and it's a very natural makeup look, especially if you have mature skin - it doesn't highlight the wrinkles. I hope they never get rid of this.
So pretty

I have eczema and therefore dry skin. Finding products that don't irritate my skin can ve difficult sometimes. When it comes to eyeshadow primer, I found my holy grail. It doesn't dry out my skin, it doesn't crease and the thing I love the most, is that blending my eyeshadow is just as easy as without any primer. This paint pot keeps your eyeshadow looking crisp the whole day (and night).
Lasts a long time without creasing

I have two other paint pots that work great for me, they go on smoothly and don't crease.

Wears so well on its own or as an eye primer. Doesn't crease and wears all day keeping eyeshadow locked in place. Very Easy to blend onto eyelid and easy to work with. Use your finger or brush to apply

I've purchased the MAC paint pots in multiple shades over the years. it's easy to apply and blend with a finger or brush and the pigment is even. I use an eye primer and it stays on all day without creasing. The pots go a few years without getting dry.
Very nice!

Just hopped on the MAC paint pot train to use it alone and as a primer (bought Painterly shade specifically to be a primer), and so far it works great! I even bought another shade, Groundwork, to see how it does on its own. No creasing under other shadows so far!
still up in air but so far so good

I have oily lids and always use a primer. I decided to go no primer and it lasted 12 hours with no creasing. Even at the end of the night, my eye look was still there! Bougie has a green shift, and I'm going to get another color. Major game changer to get this!

I use this as a eyeshadow base. It goes on smooth applying with my finger. The color Painterly is what I purchased and it is a great, basic nude color that covers the eyelid nicely without standing out too much. My eyeshadow wears great over it. May have to buy some colors that I would use as an actual eyeshadow.
Color in reality is definitely not the same

- Skin tone: Light
- Skin type: Combination
- Skin concern: Redness, Sensitivity, Uneven skin tone
- Hair color: Brunette
- Eye color: Brown
Texture is smooth, but the soft ochre color is MUCH paler and less pigmented in real life. They either need to have pictures that are true to life or have a box that isn't fully opaque so that you can see what you're getting. This is too expensive to be getting a useless color because of deceptive photos

Tailor Grey is not grey at all, more of a washed out brown that doesn't really even show up on my eyelids. I returned it.
