New bugs since using this soil
First time using this soil and since using it, ive been getting new fungus gnats. I think there mightve been eggs in the soil that came alive once i mixed in the new soil and watered my plants.

Kills plants
Soil had white powder and gnats when I purchased. There were also no nutrients in the soil and my plants started dying after a few days.

However, fungus gnats are a common problem with all organic soils — they thrive in warm, moist soil and feed on the decaying organic material. If you see white in the soil, it's likely mycelial growth, which is a sign of healthy, biologically active soil. We would love to take a look and make sure! Could you please send us a photo of what was in the soil, and photos of the full front and back of the bag to contact@backtotheroots.com? Regarding the nutrients: Our soil does have an NPK, which we list on the bag, of 0.08-0.03-0.03 which is great to start out, but it's always good to feed your plants according to the type. If you can send photos of your plants and details about how you feed them, your watering schedule, etc., we would love to help you troubleshoot and get them back on track. Amazing Soil!

My plants tend to grow pretty quickly which means I need to repot them and I get nervous in doing so because I don’t want to harm my plants in that process. But this soil has been great for repotting and allowing my plants to thrive! I recommend this soil for anyone that finds themselves in the same predicament.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Late review but I’m a person who likes to make sure my plants were not going to die. I’ve purchased potting soils before that were messy and then put my plants in and they died. Back to the Roots is amazing the soil isn’t messy and is very light a fluffy. Anyone who’s purchased a regular bag of potting soil knows what I’m talking about. So easy to use and my plants that I’ve transferred are thriving.

I’m really impressed with this potting mix. It’s light, airy, and doesn't seem to compact easily, which is exactly what my houseplants need. Great indoor container soil. It stays fluffy and doesn't compact hard like peat-based soils do. Drains quickly and easily. At first I thought the bag was moldy when I opened it but upon looking closer it was only the high coconut coir and sand content. I unfortunately have fungus gnats in a different pot of a plant with the wrong soil, but the gnats won't go near this Back to the Roots mix. I mixed some extra orchid bark in it and repotted a Pothos and White Bird of Paradise and they like it. They've put out new leaves. Good soil.
