Q: Do you have to bite on the straw for the water to come out?
A: Nope. I bought a few and you just have to suck (I tried it out before giving to my 1 year old. Water comes out easily and is mostly leak proof (sometimes it'll leak but it's very little).
submitted byLia - 1 month agoA: Yes, you have to apply some pressure with lips or teeth, this is how it is leak proof.

A: Zak does not recommend hot liquids in tumblers that use an internal straw or a valve. It can create pressure and unexpectedly release hot liquid.

Q: What materials is this cup made of? Why did mine rust?
A: They are made of stainless-steel, which can and does rust, generally, if water gets trapped somewhere for an extended period of time this can happen. Be sure to dry the item 100% before putting it all back together after washing to avoid this.

Q: Can I use this for hot beverages
A: We do not recommend it, there is a chance of burning as hot builds pressure and will build enough to squirt hot liquid out of the spout sometimes.
