Fun toy for littles!
This is such a fun toy for my almost 1.5yr old. Putting together the ramp is straight forward. The axle/wheel assembly was difficult to slide into the slot on the little car. It was much easier to assemble it and pop it in. Highly recommend this toy!

Wasnt expecting to have issues but definitely did.
My kids love this but I did have some issues. It came used and a little dirty. Also where there was supposed to be an audible “snap” to put some pieces together, there wasn’t. It still works fine as far as I know but I would have liked to be able to put it together as it instructed. Also would have liked it if it wasn’t used. It was probably returned to the store defective because of the snap issue and they resent it out.

Hopeful my son will love this on Christmas morning BUT my husband and I are at our wits end assembling it. The wheel axles are impossible to get into the car. Instructions are just pictures and not helpful. No videos available online either. Great toy, awful setup.

Assembly is difficult.. in fact, impossible so far
If I can ever manage to assemble this, I think the toddler I purchased it for will give it a 5-star rating, but based upon the miserable assembly experience so far, 3 stars is generous. For starters, the instructions are 100% diagrams, with no text at all. Car assembly: The two metal wheel axels are each supposed to slide into a small space on the underside of the car, but for both axels, it was impossible until, out of desperation, I heated the two areas of plastic with a tablespoon of very hot water. Track assembly: The criss-cross base is supposed to click together, but again achieving that is impossible, even bearing down with all of my weight from every possible angle. Without the click, the base is not level or stable, so the track remains unassembled. I have spent far too much time and energy on this. Will try again tomorrow, but have little hope for success unless I resort to heating the plastic again. I combed Step2's website hoping to find assembly tips, but found nothing. At the very least, Step2 should have an assembly video available online, showing a person performing every assembly step. Packaging: I was surprised by how poorly this set was packaged. When unboxing it, I first thought I had received a used/returned item because none of the track pieces, nor the car body were in bags or had any cushioning. The wheel parts were in a sealed plastic bag, indicating the set was not used. With the large plastic parts all loose in the box, the pieces get scratched up a bit in shipping.
