Q: States it holds up to 220lbs, is this accurate? I can’t imagine a rubberwood chair can only hold up to that weight. Usually it’s 300lbs.

submitted by crystalmydear - 2 months ago

  • A: Hello Guest - We appreciate your interest in the item. We know you will enjoy it. I would like to inform you that yes it is accurate which holds up to: 220 Pounds . While the chairs are made with a lacquered rubberwood frame, the weight limit is determined by the overall chair construction. I hope this information helps you - Abhi

Sturdy, but don't love the finish

These chairs have a lot of great qualities. They are very heavy and sturdy. I love the stain color that has a solid brown color tone. However, the aged wood look was done by pressing the wood in a mold, or something that made it look like plastic. They are solid wood, but look cheap in some of the spots where the age wood look is overdone. I wish these chairs were left without the aged finish. I took a picture of the underside of the chair and the wood looks so much better than the aged look on the rest of the chair.

Not as great as the influencers back it seem.

These were not great quality. You can see the glue where the chair back meets the spindles, there is already a chip in one of the legs right out the packaging. The threshold brand chairs that are similar are far better!

    Heavy attractive chairs

These chairs and bench are wonderful! They paired well with my black table and are very cute. Nice and heavy, easy to put together and nicely packed. I waited for a while on these but finally purchased after they were out of stock on other occasions. So glad I did.

Perfect color chairs, very comfortable even without cushion. Just be mindful of how far the back of the chair and legs stick out.

    Rough Finish with Gray Undertones

I purchased the table and chairs. It is a cute colonial style set that is well built and sturdy. I am giving the chairs (and table) 4 stars as I don't care for the finish and am dissappointed. The finish is rough, not smooth. The finish also has gray understones. I was hoping for a nice smooth and rich brown finish. I will not return the set as it is just too much trouble to pack it all up.

    Perfection

Waited FOREVER for these chairs to be back in stock. Randomly checked one day and they were in stock and ordered right away. Completed the set and my breakfast nook is complete. So well made. Heavy duty. Not like those cheap feeling wood chairs. A must buy. Contemplated on buying more for my dining room.

    EVEN BETTER THAN THE PICTURE

Hearth & Hand does it again!! I never write reviews but these chairs make my kitchen/dining room feel so cozy! They’re even prettier in person and sturdy/secure enough for my toddler’s booster seats! 10/10 recommend & definitely worth the price.

    Would recommend to everyone!

I wanted to wait a couple of months before reviewing. Well it’s been four and they are fantastic chairs. The color is not orange which is hard to find. It’s a very aged oak more beige/ash. They are very sturdy and a toddler does not tip it over when sitting and standing on it. They wipe clean really easily and the surface is very smooth no wood bits come up against the grain like in low quality wood.

    So happy!

These are some great chairs. I'd been eyeing chairs from a much more expensive brand and then decided to try these and I'm so glad I did. They are heavy but not too heavy, great quality, and easy to clean with a toddler and baby.

Don't buy them, they're awful! (Jk)

I don’t want to say how much I love these because then more people will buy them and I need them to be back in stock, lol. These are so comfortable and look so classic. They come almost completely put together; all you have to do is attach the seat to the legs and you have instantaneous charm. *chefs kiss* There is a little bit of gray in the grain, but otherwise it’s true to the color in the photos. They seem very solid and sturdy, and the feet have adjustable bottoms in case there’s a wobble. Really great product and love the design!
