Q: I bought them and there is a sticker that says "adjustable" on the legs, which I can't figure out. I would love to make the chairs taller because, when using them for dining, they are quite low... how can I adjust to make them taller?

Steal of a deal!
I ordered these chairs to use as new end chairs for a smaller dining table. I got the cream color and it is a very beautiful linen texture with slight flecks of tan - very neutral. Like others have stated, the leg color is a bit orange-y, called “chestnut” on the tag on the bottom Of the seat. I will change the color of the legs as I really do not care for how warm the stain color is. They are exceedingly simple to put together -only the legs need to be attached. Really, the most difficult part was getting them out of the box as they are so tightly packed! They are pretty much dead ringers for some chairs I was eyeing at RH but those are nearly 4x the price of these Studio McGee ones. So, I have to do a little bit of tweaking – the leg color – to get them the way that I want. But it’s worth it to save a ton of money over the chairs at the other place. Other people had mentioned, too, that the cushions squished down quite a bit. I have to agree with that. I’m 5’4” and I can tell these cushions have a little too much give. It’ll be another thing I will address with some firmer foam. The Cushion covers do come off. I know some of the earlier reviews state that they do not. I guess that has been addressed in manufacture because mine definitely have a zipper to allow for removal. They also have Upholstery going all the way around the cushion so you could flip it if necessary. So, given that I need to do a little bit of work to the chair, that is why I gave it four stars as opposed to a full on five. Had there been other leg color choices, This could easily be a five star chair.

Comfy little chair for a home office
I'm happily surprised by this chair. I was looking for something a little more cozy but not overly large for my home office, and this worked perfectly. The legs are a medium red-tinted brown (same as my office walls), and the fabric is beige with grey/brown stripes. The arms are about the same height as the space under my desk (24") so I would need to raise my desk a little to push the chair underneath and more easily access my desk drawers. Many reviewers mentioned the chair is uncomfortable and/or the seat cushion collapses. The seat cushion is completely removable and has a zipper to access the foam and batting inside, so I can add/replace stuffing if this happens. I immediately stuffed an old compressed 20x20" pillow insert in the cushion (a tight fit with the foam) for extra padding. With the support of a lumbar pillow, I can sit comfortably throughout my work day. My only complaint so far is the chair has a slight odor right out of the box, but it's not unbearable (no more so than the "new car" smell).

Nice chair-defective parts
I bought 2 of these chairs to go at the end of my kitchen table. The first one, the legs screwed right in. However, the 2nd one was defective and none of the legs would screw in. This was after 3 different adults gave it a try. Such a pain to load up and return. Now they are out of stock! For the price the quality is good and it looks very nice. Also comfortable.

Super poor quality control. Received two left legs, and even on the correct side the support boards were attached incorrectly and the back legs are an inch away from the screw holes. Out of stock and now have to go through the trouble of taking it apart and taking it back. Major bummer and a waste of my time.

Sad but true
I hate that I have to give this a one star. I loved this chair, beautifully crafted snd comfortable. I purchase two chairs about 6 months apart. The chairs were really for show and hardly used. Well I just had a baby 3 weeks ago now and I’ve been sitting in the chair to nurse or pump time to time (I weigh 120lbs) and the cushion is already shot and won’t bounce back into place. I have an embarrassing butt imprint in the cushion and the chair has become uncomfortable. Too bad for such a sophisticated looking chair. Very disappointing.

Perfect accent chairs!
I bought two of these chairs to use as accent chairs in our living room for extra seating. They are great quality for the price. I love the striped beige fabric. The material is nice and thick. Easy to assemble. I did sand and re-stain the legs before I attached them. They were too orangey for my taste. They look much better with a walnut stain. The chairs are small, but that’s what I was looking for. Highly recommend!

Not too heavy, so they can be easily moved around and used for multiple purposes within the home. Fabric seems like it would be pretty easy to clean! I found the height just right for sitting at my dining table. Firm cushion, a little slim so check the measurements if you have wider hips :)
