Purpose

Antacid.. Skin Protectant..

Uses

heartburn, acid indigestion, sour stomach, and upset stomach due to these symptoms., poison ivy, oak and sumac, insect bites.

Stop use and ask a doctor if: condition worsens,symptoms last more than 7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days.

Directions

Add 1/2 teaspoon to 1/2 glass (4 fl. oz.) of water every 2 hours, or as directed by physician. Dissolve completely in water. Accurately measure 1/2 teaspoon. Do not take more than the following amounts in 24 hours. Seven 1/2 teaspoons. Three 1/2 teaspoons if you are over 60 years. Do not use the maximum dosage for more than 2 weeks.

Adults and Children 2 Years of Age and Older:

For Use as a Paste: Add enough water to the sodium bicarbonate to form a paste. Apply to the affected area of the skin as needed, or as directed by a doctor. For Use as a Soak in the Bath: Dissolve 1 to 2 cups in a tub of warm water. Soak for 10 to 30 minutes as needed, or as directed by a doctor. Pat dry (do not rub) to keep a thin layer on the skin. For Use as a Compress or Wet Dressing: Add sodium bicarbonate to water to make a mixture in a container. Soak a clean, soft cloth in the mixture. Apply cloth loosely to affected area for 15-30 minutes. Repeat as needed or as directed by a doctor. Discard mixture after each use.

Children Under 2 Years:

For Use as a Paste: Ask a doctor. For Use as a Soak in the Bath: Ask a doctor. For Use as a Compress or Wet Dressing: Ask a doctor.

HORRIBLE, SALTY TASTE IN MY COOKIES!!!!

I am 76 years-old and I have only use Arm & Hammer Baking Soda in my baking recipes for years and years. The last box of A&H ruined my batch of Cranberry Orange Christmas cookies. What have they done to their formula? I purchased that A&H on 11/19/2025 and it was as hard as a brick (as were the others on the shelf!) and had to be crushed before being able to measure it. After the cookies were done and tasted, they were so salty we had to throw them away! I did not measure anything incorrectly and had made a batch on 12/2/2025 that were perfect. This was the first time I used this box of baking soda. I am afraid to make anymore holiday cookies with A&H Pure Baking Soda.

Reliable, Affordable, and Easy to Store

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this ARM & HAMMER baking soda, especially in the resealable bag. It’s super convenient and way less messy than the regular box. The zipper seal actually closes well, so the baking soda stays fresh and doesn’t spill everywhere in my cabinet. I use it for a little bit of everything: cleaning, deodorizing the fridge, laundry boost, and sometimes baking. It’s affordable, lasts a long time, and works exactly how it’s supposed to. If you go through baking soda regularly, the resealable bag is definitely worth it.

Use all over my house

Man I use this stuff in that sprinkle can thing to deodorize mattresses, carpet, couches, etc. It’s effective let it sit for 24-48hrs then vacuum it on up. Works.

Love the resealable bag

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed the Arm & Hammer baking soda in the resealable bag compared to the old box. With the box, I always found myself using a Ziploc bag to store it, especially since I use baking soda for so many different things. The box works fine if you’re only keeping it in the refrigerator as an odor absorber, but for everyday multipurpose use around the house, the sealable bag is more convenient. I use Arm & Hammer for baking cookies, freshening my fridge, and all kinds of household tasks, and the resealable bag just keeps everything cleaner, fresher, and easier to manage. Definitely my preferred packaging from now on!
