Don't kill yeast with water too hot!
Remember, the water needs to be no hotter than 110 o F. If too hot, it will kill the yeast. Best water temp is between 105 & 110. If your dough isn’t rising, your water might have been too hot. I use a thermometer every time & have perfect results.

Bad batch?
I bought this to make pizza dough and the dough did not rise. Just to be sure, I did a counter test with this yeast, warm water and sugar and got no reaction after 15 minutes. Either I got a defective batch or this product is not what it used be.

Dead yeast! Don't buy!
Wish I read the other reviews before purchasing… the yeast was dead despite being well before the expiration date. Completely useless for making bread. Must’ve been stored incorrectly or something (have used the same product countless times from other stores successfully)

Not sure if it’s because this was old, although it hasn’t officially expired. I tried to make cinnamon rolls and followed the instructions on the package and it did not work. I wish target carried active yeast instead of only instant.
