Overpriced and the worse Burrito
I really did not like this burrito. The taste and texture were very processed and unnatural to me. It didn't taste like a normal burrito made from real ingredients—it had a strange flavor and texture that I couldn't get past. What bothered me even more was how I felt afterward. The burrito left my stomach feeling heavy and uncomfortable, almost like I had eaten something that just wasn't sitting right. I also noticed a very strong blood sugar spike after eating it. I've had other frozen burritos, and the difference is huge. Others taste much more natural and like actual food, while this one tastes heavily processed. It's also overpriced in my opinion. At over $6 plus tax for one burrito, I expect noticeably better taste, quality, and overall eating experience. What makes the price especially hard to justify is that cheaper frozen burritos I've tried taste more natural, have a more satisfying texture, and don't leave me feeling the way this one does. If I'm paying a premium price for a single frozen burrito, I should be able to taste and feel the difference in a positive way. I don't get that with Counter. The high protein content is nice on paper, but for me that doesn't make up for the taste, texture, price, and how poorly I felt after eating it. Unfortunately, this isn't just an issue with this particular burrito—I’ve had the same experience with Counter's other products as well. Overall, I strongly dislike Counter's products and would not purchase them again.

I will say this is kinda gross but my question is why is the inside almost like a puree??? I do agree with the other reviews that this is WAY too savory and also way too salty. It’s almost like mush in the inside. A little disappointing to say the least. I do like this brand and their other meals. I think the burritos are honestly just a miss and need to be pulled and reformulated. The ingredient list is also just obnoxiously so long… people want to know what they are eating not read through 50 different ingredients. Just a personal opinion but I think some people could agree as well. Definitely won’t be buying again… but it was nice to give it a shot.

It was decent!
I liked the tortilla. I did prepare it in the microwave how they said to. If I didn’t constantly check on it though the paper towel would have been really stuck to the burrito. The portion was decent. I can see why some people thought of cat/dog when eating it but I think the taste was fine. A little expensive which is probably why I wouldn’t get it again.

Its a no for me
I was pretty excited to try this burrito (chicken). I’m always on the hunt for easy lunches that have a decent amount of protein. The taste and texture of the filling is very off putting. Salty pet food with a strange aftertaste is how I’d best describe it. Three bites in, I had to toss it. I even dug the wrapper out of my trash to check the ingredients (which all looked great in writing) to make sure I was eating real chicken. I honestly don’t know how these made it through any type of R&D.

Awful. Trust this. Put it back.
Worst bean burrito ever. First off, let’s not stuff a burrito with cat food. Second, let’s go back to R&D with how this is made and cooked. It doesn’t taste like a burrito. The texture is awful. It won’t cook through in the air fryer but if you leave longer, it bursts. My air fryer is the best. How do I know? I’m a professional chef. Redesign this burrito, use quality ingredients or label it as pet food. Waste of money.

I thought it was good, it is not chunks inside more of a soft filling which I normally don’t like mushy, but that didn’t bug me for this- kind of reminded me of eating a bean and cheese burrito-I paired with a side salad and it was filling and good! One thing to note is if you don’t like cilantro you will not like it! I didn’t give it 5 stars because the microwave made the tortilla a bit chewy but I also didn’t listen to recommendations!

Its too savory on its own so thats why its only 3 stars. I heated it in the toaster oven on bake and I slit a hole in it mid-way through so the inside would heat up evenly. I made homemade guacamole with sweet and spicy jalapeños. I dipped it in that and sour cream. That made it tolerable and something I may try again.

This is my favorite quick and easy frozen protein. The flavor is spot on, as is the texture. Tortilla is fire as well and if you make per the instructions for the air fryer it comes out bomb every-time. Throw some Tapatio on it and it’s all you need. So glad they’re available at my nearest target now because I was stocking up on them from the target that was 45 minutes away from me and clearing out their entire stock when I’d get the chance to hit up that target. You just can’t beat the macros and flavor. Yes it’s a bit pricey but you’re not gunna get the same amount of protein for $5 elsewhere with a takeout or frozen option.
