My wife especially likes the shade as it keeps the light from being harsh and diffusing it. For me the install was pretty straight forward and easy which made my life easier. We all know how it is when the wife wants something done, might as well make it easy. Kichler is always our preferred lighting and fan brand, this time is no different.

The compact size allows us to put it in a hallway and it looks great while also matching the one we put in front of our door next to our dining room. The black frame really draws attention and has a clean, bold look that is quite unique. Additional down rods can be purchased to extend the light and the shade can be easily cleaned with a damp cloth. The incandescent lights help to illuminate a soft glow of light that is just right. I love this light from Kichler! It's beautiful and shows your love of the best lighting fixers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Malden light fixture because of its simplistic design elements and modern feel. It hit the mail on its head for what we wanted. I put it in our basement nook area to add some light to a rather darker part of the basement. I love the light output and overall size of it as it’s a smaller area we put it in and this light fixture is a small to medium in size so it fits well. The white shade goes with most any decor u have in your house so no need to worry about matching things. Over all we love this light and would recommend to everyone.

The design is very simple and elegant, fabric shade gives it the perfect touch, it was very easy to install and it is very lightweight, yet sturdy and pretty well made. The fabric shade is very easy to clean as well; a duster wand helps remove any dust with no problem. Definitely recommend it!

My only problem was not anticipating how low it would hang as a semi-flush mount light. My ceilings are too low to accommodate this light in the area I wanted. My brother-in-law is 6'7" so we have to be mindful of height clearance on everything. I the black metal is right on point with what's in style now and I love that it really looks good in a variety of decorating styles. Would completely recommend this light to anyone. Kichler always supplies detailed directions and everything you need to install. Especially for us DIYers.

Installing this light was easy, the included directions were very detailed. This semi flush light is absolutely beautiful! It looks so nice in my kitchen and goes great with my décor. I love the black finish of the light paired with the white fabric shade! It is stunning! The design of the light is very modern and looks super stylish! The light takes 4 bulbs and gives off the perfect amount of lighting for my kitchen. This light definitely gave my kitchen a whole new look. I have received so many compliments on my new fixture. I would like to add that the light coming from it is amazing. The way it lights up of daughter's room is amazing. The light is spectacular. The only problem I need to find a boy's light fixture of a soccer ball or baseball light, but let's talk about the light as of course the energy efficient bulbs fit that is not a problem fits right in the socket and its just amazing took lets than 15 minutes from start to finish. The overall quality is sub-perp. I would like to add there aren't many companies that have the design that are this nice. This one has everything you want design quality that lasts for years, then try this brand. Why hands down there the best!!

This worked really well in my kitchen and accented my other lights and decor. The light it provides is just what I needed, this really brightened up my room. Seems of high quality and great value. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am in love with this light. It give such an elegant look. It was easy to install. The only downfall would be the shade. You have to make sure before you install it that the shade is on. Only mistake we made was putting it up without shade, than having to take back off to put it on. With that said the light is just beautiful. It is well made and just look gorgeous with any decor.
