I wanted to like this shampoo & conditioner BUT my hair started falling out at an accelerated rate!! I used it for 3 weeks and lost about half my hair!! I was using it to help with itchy, dry scalp. It did reduce the itch but obviously hair loss is not good. I returned to Swanson.
I strongly recommend this product

When I use this shampoo, my hair feels really clean and fresh. I also love that it is cruelty free, that means a lot to me. The price is also quite reasonable for such a quality product.

Didn't have a lot of fragrance that I could tell. Otherwise it lathers nicely and got my hair clean.

I have been getting this shampoo for years. New label and very watered down. I would rather pay a little more for the thicker old formula.

I've been using this shampoo for several years and like another reviewer, my last order I noticed the label had changed and the shampoo was very watery. I'll be looking for a new shampoo.
Used to be better

I have been using this for years. Recent batch came with a new label and the contents appear watered down in comparison to some of the older batch that I have remaining.
Sulfonate harsh ingredient

Just as bad as sulfates, 2nd ingredient: sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate Rating: POOR Categories: Cleansing Agents, Sensitizing Used primarily as a detergent cleansing agent, but is potentially drying and can aggravate skin. Can be derived from coconut. It’s tricky to include in formulas due to stability issues, but it does produce copious foam.

I'm so glad I finally found this shampoo that eets all my wishes. I like the ingredients; it lathers well; the aroma is completely natural and barely noticeable; it's gentle on my stressed hair; and the price is not too high.
Love this aroma

This shampoo has a nice smell and men would find it appealing. It is a better value than the mint-tea tree shampoo in the green bottle at salons.
Love IT!

I have silver hair and have been using silver specific shampoo until now. I was tired of the residue left from other shampoos. This shampoo has made my hair whiter and it doesn't leave a residue like other products. I love it!

I have been buying this for my son. I tried it myself and was pretty impressed. I used it with the companion conditioner and it left my hair looking very healthy, with a little shine. My hair looked and smelled fresh all day. Before I committed to buying it for myself, I used it for several days in a row; there was no sign of buildup or scalp irritation. The ingredients are very safe and sane. The price is pretty reasonable for the size of the bottle. The smell is slightly medicinal, but the residual scent on my hair is very tame -- just pleasantly herbal. I've had two people randomly tell me my hair is pretty in the past week. Sold! (Over 40, long natural hair, noticeable tinsel)
Love it

Shampoo is effective. A small amount lathers well, so the bottle should last a long time. Will buy again. Rating four instead of five stars because there are a lot of multisyllabic chemicals in the ingredient list. However, it seems difficult to find a shampoo with truly natural ingredients (I'm reluctant to switch to castile soap).
