Soft Definition Without the Crunch
I’ve been using this styling gelée for my wash-and-go routine and I really like how lightweight it feels on my curls. It gives enough hold to define my curls without making them stiff or crunchy. My hair stayed soft, bouncy, and looked more controlled throughout the day. I also noticed less frizz and a smoother finish, especially on humid days. The formula layered well with my leave-in products and didn’t leave flakes behind. It’s a great option if you want natural-looking curls with flexible hold and moisture at the same time.

Soft and defining
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this for about a month and have really enjoyed it so far. True to its name. It doesn't leave any crunch or texture, just soft bouncy definition. I did try it on its own but I prefer to use it as part of my product regimen. I place it over a leave-in and a very lightweight curl cream. It is a liquid-y easily spreadable gel. If I wash my hair at night I lightly diffuse and pineapple. I typically do the same thing during the day or completely diffuse if I'm in a hurry and need to get out the door. It gives my curls really lovely definition and bounce. It does have a bit of a scent which I was neutral on but once it dries it pretty much dissipates. I did test it through a Texas spring which involves high heat and also rain and humidity. It did seem to hold up very well to the heat. I was very pleased with that. It did not hold up as well to the humidity. However, it did not market itself as such so I was not overly upset about it. I would give it a 4.5 overall with just a half a star deducted for my hair going particularly big in humid weather. This is a generous bottle and the product goes a long way when applying in wet hair so it is an incredible value for the money. Photo shows day 3 hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing you notice about this gelée is the texture. It's almost watery, similar to aloe vera gel, which makes it really easy to work with. It applies smoothly on both wet and dry hair without any tugging or clumping, which I appreciate. I have fine, 2a/2b wavy hair that's prone to frizz, and this does offer some help on that front as it tames frizz a little and loosely holds my wave pattern in place. The fragrance is minimal and fades quickly, which is a win if you're sensitive to scents. All in all, it's a pleasant, fuss-free product, but for wavy, frizz-prone hair it may not be enough on its own.

Great Soft Hold
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great soft hold hair gel. I have long curly hair and a good gel is a must especially as the warmer, more humid weather is approaching to keep hair defined and frizz at bay. The Soft Hold Styling Gelee has a pleasant, feminine scent. I like to apply this gelee when my hair is quite wet after washing. Once my hair dries down (lately I prefer diffusing) my hair is defined and shiny without any frizz. One thing I have noticed is that my curls are more elongated with this gel rather than usually springy with a tighter curl. Overall its a great soft hold gel that doesn't leave any residue or flakes in hair. Product was received as part of an educational promotion.

Impressed with the results!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After using the Chéribé Beauty Soft Hold Styling Gelée I was so impressed with the results achieved. I am always struggling with my thick, frizzy and unruly hair but this product put all my hair in order. I used it right after showering, specially, if I had an somewhere to go afterwards. The Gelée is really amazing because it really worked, it left my hair in place and it lasted all day. Even when showering again to remove the product, it required a quite the amount of shampoo to remove. The smell is subtle and pleasant. I loved this product, I can definitely see myself reaching for the next one!

Having fine wavy hair it can be hard to find a product that does not weigh it down. So far I have found that this works pretty good for my hair. I do like to layer it with another product like a mousse first and then layer this gel on top. It’s not sticky or heavy and does not give my hair that wet crunchy look. My hair holds throughout the day without getting frizzy or losing It’s definition. I do enjoy this better when I layer it then by itself when I use it by itself, I feel like it’s not quite enough hold. You get a lot of product in the tube and a little goes a long way. It’s definitely worth the money. I received this product in exchange for my honest review.

Great for medium hold & price!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried out the soft hold styling gelee with aloe vera for several weeks now. I have fairly thick wavy/curly hair. It was very long when I first started using it then I cut my hair off and tried it on my medium length hair for a while as well. It was a learning curve for me because I usually use a mousse or cream. With this, you have to make sure not to use too much in one spot or it will get crunchy. I liked using it on the mid to ends of my hair to hold the curl, but would not recommend using near the roots as it could make them look a bit greasy. I love that it has aloe Vera in it, which is a good moisturizer for hair and natural! I was given this product in exchange for my honest review.

Finally A Curl Product That Feels Lightweight

The hold is soft and natural, keeps my curls defined, and still lets my hair move without looking stiff. As someone who’s always on the go between workouts, content, and long days, I like products that make styling quick but still look clean and effortless and this did exactly that. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Please note I received this product gratis in exchange for my honest review. This product does what it says it’s supposed to do. It makes your hair softer and more manageable, but it is a light gel. If you have more of a curl that requires more of a tough hand or to be put in its place a little bit stronger it may be lacking for you. The gel has a nice smell, but don’t overdo it if you overdo it you’re going to get flakes. It was easy to use and it blended nicely with all my other dimethicone products and my leave in conditioner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for my honest review. I really liked this soft gel. I have type 2C hair that is prone to frizz. I really liked the smell of this product - not to overpowering but I could smell it in my hair all day. I showered and used a curl brush and then applied the gel in a scrunching motion. I noticed immediately that my hair felt softer and the gel seemed to keep my hair in larger sections. I let it dry almost completely before scrunching it out all the way and was left with soft, defined curls. I noticed less frizz as well. This product is also really great for touch ups the next day- just add a little moisture and a smidge of extra product and it’s looking like day one hair again. I would definitely recommend this product.

Good product
I recently tried the Chéribé Soft Hold Styling Gelée and I have to say, I’m really impressed. The gel has a nice lightweight consistency that doesn’t feel sticky at all, which is a huge plus for me. Decent gel
I like this gel alot because the first thing that I noticed out of the box it was a bright pink color. It stood out alot to me. I overall like a stronger hold but I feel like this gel would be great if I wanted to do some curls or just have a hairstyle that wouldn’t require it to be so strong. I love the smell because it smells so floral and it smells like something I would want to use. The consistency is very watery but it does have a decent hold. I think that I might use this gel more in the future but for now I would use it for basic styles that don’t really need a strong hold. I didn’t really notice any flakiness as well but I tried not to use too much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so eager to give this product a try and I wasn’t disappointed or let down, I was really impressed by how soft and sleek my hair look after applying it. It does have a nice elegant finish making my hair look flawless and smooth, it has a nice scent that I enjoy smelling. Once I apply to my hair it is much easier to manage and style as how I desire. It does lack in moisture and my hair be looking hydrated and glowing at the same time. I will be adding it to my hair care routine because it gives me exactly what am looking for, also it doesn’t give that dry and flaky residue at all. I must say it help me to reduce my frizzy hair which has always been one of my concerned,it’s very much light weight and the texture feel smooth and soft. I must say this has help me a lot with my textured type hair and the glow and shine that I get from this alone work wonders. Definitely a keeper.

Gel hair products work well at enhancing my naturally wavy/curly hair and also to help prevent decrease frizz so I was excited to try out a new brand. The packaging was nice and easy to dispense product out. I also feel like it would be easy to make sure you get every last drop. This gel was too thin and watery for my liking. It also had a really strong hairspray scent. It did help enhance my curls, but parts of my hair were left feeling crunchy. Unfortunately, I don’t think this product works for me.

This soft hold styling gele did a great job keeping my soft curls curled all day without making my hair look and feel stiff and crunchy. I would recommend this product to anyone who has even the slightest wave to their hair. It had a nice soft fragrance that wasn’t overwhelming and didn’t necessarily linger. The only thing about this product is at yhe end of the day when I brushed out my curls my hair did feel pretty dirty, where as some products once you brush it out you can’t really tell you had product in it. But overall I’d recommend this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have really enjoyed using this gel. Love that is is a squeeze bottle and not a tub. Makes it easy to use and to place into mine or my daughter's hair. I have used it in both of our hair and it has held for both of us very well. We both liked having a scent to this gel which makes it a lot more unique compared to others I have used. One thing to note the smell/scent can be strong. My husband did not like the scent and I had to make sure the gel is put away due to the strong smell even when it is put into the container.
