Smells amazing! But leaves white flakes, it has a flexible hold. I would probably not buy again.

I love this SheaMoisture gel! I apply it to my hair when it’s wet, and it scrunches and defines my curls perfectly. It gives me a nice hold without making my hair stiff or crunchy. my curls stay soft, bouncy, and frizz-free all day. Plus, it smells absolutely amazing. And the packaging is great, makes it easy to just scoop out. This has become a must have in my curl routine!

Then I stumbled upon SheaMoisture's Coconut & Hibiscus Curling Gel Soufflé, and it was a total game-changer. The first thing I noticed was the smell. The texture is a bit different from other gels I've used—it's a little thicker and has a jelly-like consistency, which I actually prefer. I apply it to my hair when it's damp, section by section. I love the whole coconut and hibiscus line! The shampoo and conditioner, hair mask, even the foam mouse works wonderful! This gel I can’t with! I’ve used it a few times each with different amounts, no matter how much or how little I use I get zero hold! I have long mid back length 3a curls. I get zero ringlets with this gel it’s terrible! There’s no cast and no hold, you get way better hold with ECO gel for half the price.

Loves how define my curls get but the way it flakes when it dries is horrible

i like this gel because it gives great definition, but it only last for a few hours and by the time i’m out for school my hair looks like a bunched up mess. (i have 3c-4a hair ) i personally like length and definition then volume

The ingredients in these are my favorite 😍. I love that it holds my hair back all day and no flie aways the texture of this is not sticky at all.That is my favorite part. The packaging was easy, and I love the scent that it has. It's my favorite coconut shea moisturizer

Shea Moisture is coconut, hibiscus, and flaxseed scented styling gel that will NOT leave white residue when dry. It is very soft and easy to work with and has a very easy packaging for convenience.

Decent but does not hold thicker, curly hair.

I absolutely love this styling gel! I've always wanted to try Shea Moisture, and Im so glad I decided to start with this product! The hold, the shine, the scent, it's all so good! Not to mention, the ingredients are also fantastic, it's alcohol free which is great for me because it helps maintain my frizzy hair (i have 2b/c hair), it's not a heavy product, It's also not sticky it and it dries clear, so no white flakes anywhere!

I love the product and how it works well with my curl and wave pattern but it does definitely flake.

Shea moisture this is a great styler, and i love the smooth, non-tacky consistency and how it easily glides on my hair for that sleek & shiny ponytail finish!🫶🏽✨

I really like this because the ingredients are clean, it smells good and the texture is like regular gel. I appreciate the tub it’s much easier to use than a squeezable bottle. I find that it’s much better to use on wet hair than dry hair and you will not get flaking if you apply to wet hair.

Leaves curls looking beautiful

I really love this product. I use it in combo with their curl enhancing smoothie. Together it’s great. Alone, I still have some frizzy spots in the middle which has been a struggle my entire life. When I don’t use this combo products I do like Miss Jessie’s pillow soft curls and Rizos products. My curls have been damaged from years from cheap hair products and flat ironing too often in my teenage years. Over the college years my curls became loose (they used to coil and boing) and post 2 kids with hormone changes forget it. Idk what my curls are doing these days but this gel seems to work well for my hair. I am also using the matching shampoo and conditioner. Trying to use cleaner products and this fits the bill and a great price point. Does leave hair looking shiny but not greasy. I am hispanic with thick hair. I also have used on my toddler who is mixed (Trinidadian and Grenadian for reference) she has tight coil curls and this gel works on her hair and a little goes a long way. In the photo, this is next day waking up after a wash day and applying the gel and enhancing smoothie. Hard to tell in the photo bc I wanted to leave my face out but it’s that great next day soft curl that I won’t have to do anything to it. Definitely try it.

I got this for doing slick back ponytails and it dose exactly that , it holds your hair for so long and looks clean. But I do recommend putting on wet hair it makes it more smooth
