I had been using a clear setting gel, but it’s full of horrible chemicals and was looking for something a little more natural that would define my curls and hold back the frizz. I was a little nervous about this product because it is not unscented, however, the scent is nice and very subtle. It doesn’t give me a headache, doesn’t bother my husband, and the gel really does its job. My curls are nicely defined without looking waxy, and my hair feels soft once the gel has dried. It does everything my old setting gel does, but without the Petro chemicals. I will be buying this again. Works on my mixed girls hair and stays for couple hours easily. Smells great and gives a good finish

New Go-To Styling Gel

I have 2c/3a hair, and it definitely helps my curls last. I use it after I use the coconut & hibiscus smoothie, plop my hair in a cotton towel while getting ready, and then let it air dry after parting my hair, and the outcome is beautiful! Definitely making it apart of my curl now!

Even after straightening my hair a bit, I still experienced a little lifting, however for the smell and consistency It is a nice product I would say this is more of a light hold for coily hair.

Iabsolutely love the Shea Moisture Coconit & Hibiscus Styling gel! It has a simple, elegant packaging and is easy to use. It has medium hold, as it isn't a holding gel, but it leaves no residue and works as intended, defining and shining. It's actually really easy to manage, as long as you know what style you're going for, and it doesnt feel heavy on the hair at all, which is absolutely lovely! I recommend this product for all hair type, but mostly coily and curly hair textures would benefit from it the most. I used the Shea Moisture Strong hold on my hair in the photos, so my hair isnt as soft and coily.

The best part though is the scent fades pretty quickly and easily once it is in your hair. I can't stand strong smelling products because it just gets to be too much. This product not only smells amazing but helps give my 3A curls strong, lasting definition. That's no mean feat for my very long, past mid back length hair! Love this stuff!!!
