A: Shea Moisture is amazing if you have curly or kinky hair. It is a Black hair brand. You’ll notice reviews from White customers who felt it made their hair oily. You know your hair and whether it needs extra moisture. This brand is amazing for curly and kinky hair, especially if it tends to be more dry or frizzy.

Q: Can this be used on wet curly hair (over styling cream) if hair will be air dried? Or do you need to activate the shine with a heat source for it to work?

I have fine thin hair with split ends. I started using supplements to help my hair after getting lost of breakage. Seems to be helping. I purchased this product a month ago and decided to finally try it. I followed the instructions and continued as I normally would. I haven’t styled my hair in 43 years now. After washing I just crunch my hair in hands to give it body and some curl, then let my hair dry normally. That’s how I style my hair. I waited 2 hours after my hair was completely dried and looked in mirror to see what it looked like. It looked oily and dirty like I hadn’t washed it. I run a brush through it. I’m not at all impressed. My hair still looks oily and dirty, now I’m going to have to wash it again in the morning before my appointment. I’m also going to have to wash my bed linen as the oily product will leave oily Laughing out loud on them. Yes there’s shine but it’s the oil in the product. Not something I’d recommend.

I already use the coconut and hibiscus, shampoo, conditioner, kids detangler and shine and hold. Love the results using my Denman brush and then swirling my fingers through my hair but adding this to my routine after the shower first nails the defined curls adding great shine and neutralizes frizz. Bravo. My hair is short. So it only takes one squirt to style. This stuff is fire!

I like to put it on my hair while it’s still damp, so that when I blow dry it it looks amazing. Also the scent is really lovely. My bf loves to smell my hair when I put it in.
