Vego Garden Retractable Hose Reel Set

Overall, the hose reel is fantastic, but the bolts supplied to mount it make it really cumbersome to install. The bolt head has a washer and it’s also rounded at the top and I can’t tell you the number of times that my ratchet wrench slipped off while I was trying to tighten the bolt down. Having a bolt head without a built-in washer would make the install process a lot easier as the whole wrench socket would fit over the bolt head. I would give this hose real five stars after it was installed. Fix the bolts and this will be an amazing product.

This hose turned out to be even better than we expected. It was such and easy and simple set up. The quality is great, it’s lightweight but sturdy. The color is fantastic so it even looks good just posted on the front of our house. Absolutely game changing, would 100% recommend.

This hose reel has made life much easier. No more dragging a hose around and maneuvering around garden beds and trees. Hose comes out nice and straight, doesn’t get stuck in that spiral/twisted around as many do. Retraction works great so far.

Constant kinking on 100ft retractable hose. I have 3. Everytime I use them. . . which becomes annoying. The hoses are suppose to be 3 layer anti-kink. Connectors are cheap materials and I don't use them because they leak and yes they were installed correctly. The retractable component works great. The optional hose reels covers faded significantly within a month on top, british green color. I wonder what ASTM testing method Vego uses for UV fading. The mounting post is easy to install and works well. But no way to lock it the unit to the post like you can on a wood post. For the price it's underwhelming. If the kinking issue can be resolved Vego could be killing it with these

I have been eyeballing this for a year now, and I finally purchased it. It’s been a joy! Easy setup and now rolling up my hose is smooth as butter. It was my least favorite part of watering, and now it’s no big deal!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been lugging 100 foot hoses around my yard for years. This year, I bought the Vego Garden Retractable Hose Reel set (and mounting pole). It has made watering so much easier. This is a solidly built product and Vego Garden's attention to detail means it was easy to unpack, assemble and begin using. The 360 degree mounting pole is a must! I'll be adding a second unit to my backyard soon.

Only reason I’m not giving this 5 stars is because the installation instructions were incorrect. The paper that was packed in the box with the hose reel indicated that I should use a ⅜” drill bit to drill holes for the screws to mount on a wood post. If I had followed that the holes would have been bigger than the actual screws. I looked online and the instructions posted here indicated to use an 11/64” bit. That’s kind of a big deal - especially for people drilling into posts set into concrete - not an easy fix if you mess up. The paper instruction also say to use a ½” socket which is way too big for the screws sent with the hose reel. Please fix this - people who aren’t very DIY oriented are going to have issues! Other issue is that instruction are printed on brown paper with white ink - not easy to see. Other than the poor instal instructions - hose reel seems to be working well. Time will tell as it’s only been installed for a week.

Amazing purchase. It was everything we expected and more. Very easy installation and so easy to use. Worth every penny!

User friendly, easy to install. Retracts easily. Unfortunately kinks everytime I use it which is annoying as I have to find the blockage. I have three 100ft reels. Without the kinking it would easily be a 5:star product.

I received it a few days ago. The packaging was substantial, so my reel arrived in perfect condition. It is larger and heavier than I thought, but I like that and feel it will last a long time. Also, I love the grey color. We finally got it installed today and I’ve included a picture. Love it!

I'd happily give this 5 stars if the connectors and adapters didn't leak but, they do. Even locked. Everything was tightened properly. Very cheap components for these which is unfortunate. I contacted Vego on replacing these connectors and adapters but haven't heard back, yet Shot nozzle good, 9-1 sprayer good quality. The hose reels itself is fantastic. I have (2) 100ft reels. Easily retracts or extends. I experience an occasional kink when hoses are extended. Definitely keeps things tidy. Install was super easy, opted for mounting posts. They seem well grounded, just follow the instructions.

Love how easy the retractable hose is to use. Great quality and I recommend it to everyone!

Way over priced and just found out they are raising prices higher in the guise of a sales campaign.

Love the 130ft length just what we needed and like the sprayer nice spray options and easy to use thumbs trigger
