Women's Maxi Sundress - A New Day™

I wanted to keep this dress so badly but it was not meant to be. I fell in love with it at the store and took it home without trying it on, I was desperate to make it work regardless because I love this design and the fabric so much. However the fit is so off, and I usually love halter dresses.

Like many other reviewers, I saw this dress in store and thought it looked super cute on the hanger. I also loved the fabric. I grabbed my usual size and one size down to try on. Both were absolutely massive. I am plus size and wear a 40 DDD bra and I was swimming in the XL. I couldn’t imagine the dress being flattering even if I continued to size down. I’m not sure what happened here, but it seems like a quality control error somewhere which is a shame because it is a waste of a fantastic fabric.

Super unflattering. The print is absolutely adorable, but the fit, style and design of the dress is awful, especially if you’re larger chested. :/

At the front entrance ,the dress is hanging, all sizes available, because NOONE, and i mean No possible body type can actually feel and look good in this otherwise pretty looking ,totally wrong cut dress. Such breezy summery Motif , 100% cotton, affordable price and an extreme design disaster.

Cute idea but bad execution. Straps at arm that go in the back are too tight and the chest made me look like I needed an F cup to fill it so it wouldn't look saggy. Really odd looking. Shame, because the fabric is so cute.

I saw this dress in store & actually passed on it at first. I ended up coming back for a second trip days later to purchase it for Mother’s Day brunch — was very shocked at the sizing! I bought an XS and I agree with the other reviewers, it fits more like a L. It’s intended to tie in the back, but tying a bow in the front is much more flattering & cinches the waist. Not the greatest piece I’ve purchased from Target, but I’ve made do. Thankfully it was on sale!

The fish print caught my eye in store, such a gorgeous print! Tried it on in two sizes and unfortunately the fit wasn’t not flattering. I hope they try this print again in a different style.

Size is way off! I sized down to medium and it fits but there is way too much extra fabric.

I really liked the cute fish pattern for summer, so I picked this up to try on despite the negative comments. I have to say I whole-heartedly agree, unfortunately. I got an XS (usual said S 4-6), and the top was loose and baggy while the rest really had no shape. If you tie a bow in the front, it looks acceptable but it just is very ill-fitting. This had so much potential!

I love the fabric. The fit is weird. I even got a smaller size but the front is just so loose. The tie seems useless. Since I like the fabric so much I might make some adjustment to make it fit better.

I should have listened to the other reviewers. I purchased my usual XS, and it is absolutely enormous and shapeless. The concept and print are fabulous, but execution is a failure.

I love the print on the dresses and the concept is great. The sizing is way off! I used to be an XXL but have lost 40lbs so XL fits better. I literally fit in a medium WITH quite a bit of extra room. The bust would be better if it were open all the way to the seam of the waist, like a very deep v. Because as it is right now it does absolutely nothing for “the girls”. The back is adorable, though. If I were to have gotten an XL I’d be swimming in it. Thinking about taking it to a seamstress to see how much she’d charge to fix the bust portion because I do like it…

Poorly constructed. Whoever sewed this dress in the factory must have been asleep. Seems are crooked, and pattern mismatches. Ordered XS and it fits like a large. Do not order this. Pretty on hanger, terrible on body.

Like others said, this fabric is adorable. I gave it a shot, and they were right, the fit is awful. I thought maybe I could do a simple alteration but it’s just all wrong, returning

This dress had so much potential, the fabric of both prints was eye catching. The execution in fit is awful. Very unflattering like a sack. Runs big & just a NO.

I would give it zero stars. I had high hopes as it was so pretty on the hanger and the concept was appealing. I got a medium as I normally do. The fit is terrible, your bust gets lost. The waist sits awkwardly and the tie in the back doesn’t make sense. Sizing down would not help.

This looks so cute, but it didn’t fit well at all. I got the smallest size my Target had available XS and it was humongous on me. The top was so baggy and ill fitting and like others mentioned the tie is in a weird spot. The print is adorable and the concept is so cute, but it’s a fail for me.
