It did lather okay but I found it difficult to saturate my hair and get a good wash. I typically wash twice so that was nearly impossible with the product and the amount of hair I have. It left my hair feeling dry and tangled.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is really nice, at first the texture is more like a sponge but when you wet it and rub it in it feels like a cream. I will say, lathers very well, if you are a person who likes to double cleanse I recommend to break it in half and use one half for the first wash and the second half for the next. (Even if you don’t double cleanse and only want to use it once per wash, the other half can be saved for the next wash) definitely think I would get again, especially for travel.

They are packaged individually and are perfect for travel as it will not spill everywhere like typical shampoo. It made my hair feel absolutely phenomenal and definitely brought some curls out! It cleanses without stripping and brings my curls back to life—no dryness, no frizz, just soft, bouncy curls that feel refreshed. The slip is nice too, which I didn’t expect from a shampoo. It doesn’t tangle my hair up while washing, which is a win on its own. The smell? So good. Not overpowering, just clean and fresh. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this was a decent shampoo. my curls (I have 2b) were a bit more defined and all, but I wasn’t wowed. My hair felt clean but it definitely got greasy pretty quickly. This would be a good product for travel and I will use them up that way.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I want to make it abundantly clear that no matter what, stylers are what make the difference when it comes to textured hair and how it looks after it is dry. I was eager to dry a "zero waste" type of shampoo and conditioner but, i would prefer if it was in a better type of packaging. Single use plastic is NOT zero waste. I would much rather these be packaged much differently. The idea is great, I would love easy to use sheets of shampoo and conditioner I could take on travel and not have to worry about liquids. But not at the expense of the planet. This is miserable. Good shampoo and conditioner are important, the less issumatic ingredients the better. Unfortunately these little guys are owned by a company I do not like. Ingredients are not too terrible but work. I have curly hair and I want my curls to look good and feel good. It is important I use products that are true to the path of healthy strong hair. These are easy to use. The packaging though not great is recyclable. They do offer a free recycling program if you check the gems website. All in all the product itself is not too bad. Hoping for an updated packaging at least for me to continue use.

All I need to do is freshly activate them by adding water to soak them a few seconds and rub them between my hands. They create amazing foam that easily lathers up my hair and is easy to rinse off afterwards. The smell is divine and my hair feels so clean and weightless aft use. The good for my hair ingredients are gentle and remove excess buildup to help get rid off unnecessary weight and dullness to reveal soft, shiny smooth hair with waves that are well defined.
