Q: It helps them float right?
A: Hi there, this product is intended to to be a tool to build confidence for a child already familiar with the water who is learning to swim. This will not give enough buoyance to float alone, I would recommend looking at the Speedo life jackets on the site for a full floatation device and if looking for a tool to use while learning to swim this swim vest is a great option!

This is not U.S. Coast Guard approved however please check out our Kids PFDs (personal flotation devices)/life vests on the site for our U.S. Coast Guard approved options.
