Dove Men+Care Antiperspirant & Deodorant Stick - Rustic Sandalwood - 2.6oz

I’m between 3-4 stars. I’ve really liked this deodorant and have been using it for a few months. As a woman, love the scent (I think it’s a more gender-neutral masculine scent). I live in Florida, and it works pretty well (better than most others I’ve tried). I’m also a graduate student, so I have a lot of exams, practicals, and other things that make me prone to stress-sweating, and this holds up pretty well in odor control and perspiration. However, I’ve started noticing more underarm stains on my clothes recently. I’m not sure if it’s a stain-prone formula or if it doesn’t wash well, but it seems like most of my shirts now have yellow pit stains since using it. My routine hasn’t changed, but my antiperspirant may have to. I used to use the Dove Men+ water based antiperspirant, and that was the best product I’ve ever used (of course, they discontinued it). It didn’t irritate my sensitive skin, worked better even than this product, and smelled amazing. I’m so frustrated with Dove for discontinuing that, but for now, this current product has been the best that will do… and yet, we have yellow armpits. TLDR: this product is really awesome and smells great. But if you are in high humidity, high heat, and are prone to stress sweating more often than others, I would use with caution.

Dove Men+Care Rustic Sandalwood deodorant with 72hour protection gave me the most foul, disgusting BO I have ever experienced in my whole life within the first 8 hours. When I have BO on my own, it's not all that bad - I've even been told by my camp mates after a few days camping without deodorant. But I still wear deodorant daily in my regular life. I tried this product, and I was appalled at how horrible I smelled in just a few hours. I offended myself! I literally had to drive home, wash it off, put on a DIFFERENT deodorant and change my shirt. I was mortified at the smell! And the smell got into my new t-shirt. I still haven't been able to get the smell out of it after washing it twice with scent beads and excellent smelling dryer sheet - you can still smell the BO under the clean laundry scent. Not only does this product falsely advertise 72 hours of protection, it also falsely advertises that it deodorizes!! I'm never buying this product again!!

I guess I am someone that absolutely needs aluminum in their deodorant because my armpits stunk as if I never applied anything. I hated to waste a brand new bottle of deodorant but I could not wear this due to the lack of protection and the lack of sweat blocking.

I love the way this smells on my husband and he loves that he keeps him feeling clean and dry all day.

The fragrance of this deodorant is nice, it lasts pretty long, but it would be great to see it last a little longer. Dove is always well priced and when applied, leaves no residue.

I wanted to love this deodorant because the scent is honestly really good-clean, fresh, and not too overpowering. It goes on smoothly and feels comfortable, but the downside is that it just doesn't last all day for me. By mid-day, I notice it wearing off, and it definitely doesn't live up to the 72-hour protection claim. On hot or active days, it seems to melt off even faster, which is disappointing. That said, it's budget friendly and works fine in a pinch if you need something affordable and easy to grab. Overall, it's good for the price, but don't expect long-lasting coverage.

The texture was not very smooth and balled up quickly both on the stick and on the body. On the positive side, it did help with sweat.

Packaging is easy to open and handle, and stores nicely in my drawer. Never had any issues with texture of the product - minimal “pilling” like I usually experience with deodorant. Overall would purchase!

I had my older brother try this out and he really enjoyed it. He said it glided on pretty smooth and that it surprisingly lasted him all day despite how active he is. He also said it smells amazing-like clean woodsy vibes, but yet not overpowering, and i have to agree. The price isn't costly and it was packaged very nicely. He really liked that it didn't irritate his skin either and gives it an overall rating of 9/10.

This is a nice formula and last on the skin. The scent for me is a little bit strong reminds me of some cologne that I didn't really like, but overall it's a really nice deodorant and it's a cool scent that I haven't heard before.
