CAUSING HIVES AND ANGIODEMA
I used this deodorant for years without any issues, but I've been experiencing hives and swelling, similar to an allergic reaction, for a while, and couldn't determine the cause. I exhausted everything, thinking it was what I was eating or maybe even what I was washing my clothes with. Never did I think it would be the deodorant until I stumbled on a post from someone who said they changed the formula, and that gave me an aha moment. Now I should have known because I've been saying how strong the smell is and the bottle was different, but I didn't pay any attention to it because I've been using it for so long. I tested the theory and stopped using the deodorant, and the hives and swelling went away. I tried using it again, and they immediately came back! Why would you change something that was clearly fine? I checked the ingredients on the old deodorant, and it had 12 inactive ingredients, but this new one has 21. That's really insane, you people would completely ruin something that was clearly working fine!

Good priced deodorant
Scent was a little manly but it did work with keeping me dry throughout the day. It also covered up any sweat smell. For the price of what you're paying, you're getting a really good deal.

Terrible change to cool rush
I am a long time cool rush user and loved it. I usually stock up so I never run out. I just opened a new stick and noticed a much stronger and different scent. And it has been giving me headaches all week, like a terrible axe body spray. I thought maybe it's a bad batch and went through the other sticks, all the same. Then I thought to check online if something has changed and found it has. It turns out they did change the formula and a lot of people are not happy about it. Kudos as the company says they have changed it back now. I give kudos for that, but they didn't recall the changed garbage, and that is what's on store shelves. I just bought 2 weeks ago. I'm sure there is quite a bit still in the supply chain because people don't want it. Some website sugesst looking fir a certain lot number on the product, I'm not going to drive all over town looking for that. What I can't find is how I can buy the original formula stuff. Now I need to change. I could always count on cool rush, now I have to find a new anti perspiration and I'm sad about that.

This is currently rolling out nationwide, but you may still see some of the previous version on shelf. You can check the 5-digit production code on the bottom of the package - anything produced on or after March 29, 2025, will be the original formula. You can identify these by choosing a product with a production code of 03305 or higher. We hope this helps!

Good sweat protection
This deodorant smells very good and leaves no white cast on the armpits. As a female I use it for extra swear protection and it does a good job. better than most women’s deodorants.

Go To Deodorant
This is my go to deodorant. Smells clean and fresh and last all day. A little goes a long ways. I get the value pack and it last me a few months. Highly recommended if you workout and sweat a lot. Only downside is that is it will appear on dark clothing but that’s most deodorants.

Wet Pits
I have used cool rush for as long as I can remember (around 20 years) and have never strayed from the brand like so many other real reviews here (your use of 5-star influenser posts is misleading at best). When the formulation was overhauled, it wasn't only the smell that was terrible, the performance was equally bad. I started to sweat out every one of my shirts, button-ups, polos, t-shirts. It was like I was a nervous teenager again. It actually ruined several of my shirts. I have been trying to figure out what was driving this change..... it was the deodorant. It has been really hard to find an effective replacement and I feel betrayed that a formula could be changed that significantly without even tying to inform the consumer. I can not think of any other experience like this in my lifetime where a successful and established product was so blatantly changed... I mean, did you even do a product test? This is a pile on from all the other negative reviews on the impact of this product change, but I have not seen posts mentioning wet pits and wanted to add yet another negative side affect to the pile.

A Great Product Ruined
I’ve been using Degree Men’s Cool Rush Antiperspirant & Deodorant for the last 10+ years and have always been very satisfied. I recently purchased a twin pack and upon using it, I immediately noticed a change in the scent. It smelled horrible. I have a trial size in my travel kit that has the original scent that I love. The two new sticks will be going in the trash as they make me gag. Please bring back the original Cool Rush scent.

Absolutely awful change of ingredients. I loved the old Cool Rush scent they had years ago. Actually, a few years ago they’d changed the scent to slightly less pleasant. But this newest change is just gross! Allergic reactions and horrible assault to the senses. Why do companies think that changing a product that has a huge following is okay?! It’s not!!! Why fix it if it ain’t broke?
How can you destroy the best deodorant on the market? I’ve used degree cool rush for 10+ years. How is it that this change was approved? Did no one try the new version before it went into production? I read about a “relaunch” that says the old version was coming back. If this is the attempt to bring back the old formula, then you missed again. This product doesn’t work. I feel sticky all day. Finally I can confirm the original scent is back on shelves and smells amazing again! Just make sure the expiration date is 04/2027 or later and you’re good, otherwise you’ll get the bad stinky stuff.

Degree Cold Rush is one of my go-to deodorants, especially when I travel! It keeps me fresh all day, even when I’m super active or on the go. The scent is really clean and energizing without being overpowering. I love that it holds up through workouts, errands, and busy days. Definitely a must-have in my routine! Wish they didn’t change the scent !!
I have been using cool rush for at least the last ten years probably longer but I usually get the big pack at Sam’s but I ran out and didn’t have a chance to go and grabbed a single stick, idk what or why they changed the scent but it’s horrible. It gave me and my wife both headaches with in the next few hours of wearing it, to the point before going to sleep that night I washed It off and used a stick of my wife’s degree (shower clean). I really Hate that they did this degree has been the only deodorant that I can Use without breaking my arms out.

Cool rush disappointing new smell
I have been a cool rush user for 10 plus years!!! They changed the formula or something and it smells horrible. I dont recommend this smell. Bring back the old smell degree!

It WAS the best
I do not know why they changed this deodorant, it was the best since it worked well and did not have a strong smell. The new updated fragrance is overpowering and it made me itch. I have been buying the 48hr cool rush for a long time but this new one is just terrible. So much so that I emailed Degree to voice my concern, which I never do. I hope they change it back, and soon.
