Decent noodle texture, nice taste
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The noodles are the reason to buy this. Thick, chewy, actual udon texture instead of the mushy stuff you usually get from a microwave cup. Sauce has a nice sweet and spicy balance and there’s enough of it to coat everything. Portion is bigger than expected too, it’s a real meal. For instant noodles this is about as good as it gets.

Yulu Udon (Sweet Heat)
Super convenient as a pantry shelf-stable item, and I like the portion (not too big, not tiny). I found the sauce a bit sweet for my preference, but it’s literally called “sweet heat” so that’s on me. The spice is good, without being too hot. I added chicken breast for some protein, and the whole thing made for a quick satisfying meal. I like the noodles, not slimy and they didn’t stick together like a lot of pantry-noodle kits. Looking forward to trying the miso flavor udon.

The flavor of this is good, just wish there was more in the package. This ends up being more snack size unless you eat 2 or add sides to go with this. It’s got a great flavor that isn’t too spicy. I love the balance of sweetness. The noodles are chewy and are so addictive because of that.

This Sweet Heat Udon completely nailed it. The noodles have a great, chewy texture, and the flavor is awesome—it starts out a little sweet and tangy, and then the heat builds just enough to give it a nice kick without being totally overwhelming. It is so comforting and way better than standard instant noodles. It’s incredibly fast to throw together between running errands or keeping up with the kids. I love throwing in some green onions or whatever veggies I have on hand to dress it up a bit, but it’s honestly great right out of the package. Definitely adding this to the regular pantry rotation for crazy-busy days!

My husband enjoy spice but the sweet hint of nutmeg was too potent. It was nice that this meal came in its own bowl. We’re always happy to avoid doing extra dishes. Luckily it was super easy to make with only needing to heat up the noodles for 1 minute, which gave it an extra star, but the overall flavor was disappointing. Convenience-wise, it's an easy grab for a quick meal, but taste-wise, I wouldn't buy this flavor again.

Because it requires absolutely no water, you just microwave the noodles and then mix the sauce right into the provided bowl. The udon noodles themselves have a wonderful chewy texture. However, I am not a big fan of the sauce flavor. It definitely has a spicy kick, which I appreciated, but I would still gladly try another flavor from this brand in the future.
