It's Still The Best But With Less Toppings
I purchased frozen CPK since it was available. I had pizza at a CPK restaurant in CA decades ago. Lately (the past year,) there are noticeably less toppings (cheese, etc.) on the Margherita pizza. I wrote to CPK and they asked me to provide info., for proof, I guess (I'm not saving the box, looking up UPC numbers.) It's just something I noticed - there is more crust, less of everything else. I think this is happening with all products. Pay the same for less. CPK did send coupons and I still purchase - I put extra toppings of my own on if necessary. The fact that Target gives 2 for deals, is incentive to still buy.

Hardly any sauco and zero basil!
I have had these pizzas before but this is the worst one. Basically no tomato sauce on the base and couldn’t see any basil. Not the same taste as I had before. Very disappointing and certainly won’t be buy this brand again.

Recipe Change Deception
NO BASIL ANYMORE. AWFUL. They are lying to us. There is basil on the image on the box and in the ingredients. There’s been NO basil on the pizzas since atleast December 2025. I called customer service and all they did was give me coupons for new pizza. She couldn’t tell me when the basil was coming back.

My daughter and I were extremely disappointed with this pizza. There was no basil to be seen anywhere… We even looked under the cheese. It tasted like a very average cheese pizza with tomatoes and the tomato themselves really didn’t taste that good. Again very disappointed with this California pizza kitchen pizza. I expected much better.

California pizza kitchen thin crust - Margherita used to be fabulous - overall taste, great seasonings & toppings and a nice thin crust. The last 4 to 5 pies were poor. The toppings and tomatoes and cheese do not reach to the edge of pizza. BY ABOUT HALF AN INCH. Thought it was a fluke so kept buying but this last pie was sadly very disappointing. I will not be purchasing California Margherita pizza any more. What happened? This is a quality company.

Memorable - becauase it gave me intense heartburn
I loved this pizza! So tasty. Lots of tomatoes which I love. Didn’t see any basil but can taste it. But an hour after eating I got horrible heartburn which I never get.
