Love this light cleanser, just what I was looking for

I bought several of these only to realize that Kiehl’s changed the formulation. This one is a dud. It dries out my skin and has a terrible odor. I have no idea why Kiehls would have changed such a great product. Too bad.

I kept using it over several years because it's mild enough for my mature skin but also potent (can remove a light makeup). Only a small pea-size quantity is needed if you don't use heavy foundation and makeup - more than that isn't at all necessary (or good), so the largest package usually lasts about 6 months or more in my case.

This Kiehl's Ultra facial cleanser is the best EVERYDAY face wash. It hydrates my face well without over doing it. Its also great for sensitive skin.

My husband has sensitive skin and he loves this product for his sensitive skin.

This used to be a wonderful cleanser, which left my skin soft, hydrated and smooth. But with my latest purchase, I noticed the consistency has changed: runny and milky in color. It used to be more gel-like and thicker. I looked at the ingredients and you have replaced the Sodium Laureth Sulfate with Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate. This new formula is harsh. My skin felt dry, over-stripped, and irritated after just one use. Why mess a long-standing customer favorite that worked?? Please bring back the old formula!

I really love this cleanser. It makes my skin feel sore and gives me a little glow. I’ve been trying others, but this is the one I always go back to.

I’ve been using this product for about two and a half years. It’s been the best so far and I’m very happy and my face is loving it.

It’s a little harsh on my older, sensitive skin. It does take off makeup very well and face feels clean, but after using for a week, my skin looks dry.

I have been a longtime fan of this product so much so that I actually gave this (a facial cleanser!) as gifts to close friends! Kiehls changed the formulation of one of their best selling products with NO acknowledgement on their website. I see in other reviews that they have denied the change, but there has 100% been a change - and it’s a big one! The new formulation is terrible compared to the original. Everything about it is different - the feeling of it, the color, the smell, the dispensing hole is larger now too so you have to use more per use. I’m so frustrated that kiehls would make a huge change in their product without making it clear to people purchasing the product, especially since it is one of the best selling products. Go back to the original formulation (and packaging!).

I have been using this cleanser for several years. Leaves my face clean, without drying, and I appreciate the tube format. A little goes a long way.

Gently cleanses my skin without needing to scrub. This is the first product I have found which actually feels like it’s cleaning and doesn’t overly dry out my face. The clean is gentle and fresh!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only used it a few times so far for morning and evening cleansing but my skin always feels soft afterwards. It's not over drying, doesn't have a super fragrance smell to it, if at all and my skin feels calm after using it not stinging or burning, especially around my eyes as I have very sensitive skin.

doesn’t strip my skin but still cleanses. smoother skin and is gentle for my sensitive skin. always recommend when asked what face wash i use
