Cedar Hill 42 in. Retractable Blades Ceiling Fan (Filament Bulb Not Included)

I've had traditional ceiling fans my whole life, and I'm usually a "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" kinda guy. Well, I decided to try this fan anyway because I loved the industrial look, and I wanted something low profile for my living room. The verdict: This fan is a game changer. When not in use, the blades sit folded above the fan, and it looks great. The truly awesome part is when you turn it on. The clear blades are BARELY visible when the fan is on. I never realized just how noticeable the motion of the fan blades is on other fans, but you can barely tell this fan is on. This is especially helpful for my wife, who occasionally gets bothered by the spinning of a traditional fan. She has had no issues so far! In summary, this fan is awesome. It can pump some air, quietly and invisible. And in its off time, it pretends to be a cool ceiling light. Highly recommend; I'm going to be buying another for my master bedroom.

The fan blades are only extended when the fan is turned on and spinning. When the fan is turned off they pull back and are completely hidden which leaves you with the look of a high end light fixture. Not only does it look great but it works extremely well. The amount of air circulation that this fan puts out is impressive! It’s also very quiet and doesn’t make much noise no matter the intensity. It has a remote and has speeds 1-6. It can seamlessly be switched to rotate in both directions and also has a timer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got the Cedar Hill 42-inches ceiling fan for our dining room but haven’t had to chance to install it yet. It comes in a pretty big box but not super heavy. There’s a lot of foam pieces might I add. The fan itself looks sturdy the only thing I question is the actual fan since it is plastic. The light bulbs are on one side and the fan is on the other. I like the black as it matches my dining room. It looks pretty decent and doesn’t seem too difficult to install. I may have my husband try to do it himself.
