About this item

Description

Demon Hunter returns with a powerful tribute to love and loss. The band's twelfth studio album, There Was A Light Here, is dedicated to frontman Ryan Clark's late mother, Margaret, who passed in the fall of 2023. It explores the theme of light in both it's presence and absence. On the second album released through their own label, Weapons MFG, Demon Hunter showcases their signature blend of brutality and beauty across 12 emotionally resonant tracks. The record was produced by Clark and guitarist Jeremiah Scott, mixed by Zeuss (Rob Zombie), and it's title track was mixed by Eric Stenman (AWOLNATION). Demon Hunter has been a defining force in heavy music since emerging in 2002, helping lay the groundwork for modern metalcore. The band reaffirms it's legacy with There Was A Light Here, it's most personal and sonically ambitious record thus far. The 12th album from one of metalcore's pioneering acts. Mixed by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, Whitechapel)
