For the amount I wasn't expecting a solid wood item, but I was expecting to last for a little while. Item arrived and we assembled, not difficult. They didn't send all of the needed hardware so thankfully my husband has on hand and is handy so it wasn't an issue. The two middle drawers were crunched and splintered. I called and had to leave a message 5 days ago with Powell's parts department about getting replaced. Still waiting for a call or email back on the status and will be following up today. The dividers in the top section weren't fully glued down so I had to re-glue to the sides and bottom. All in all, if I had to do over again I would spend the extra money and buy a better quality solid wood item.

So you have to build this yourself, fine. The workmanship on this is so poor however this is nearly impossible. Hinges on the side cupboards were installed 1 inch in height difference, leaving one cupboard hanging much higher than the other side (you can even see light through one side). Drawer fronts fell off that were supposed to be "nailed together." The top broke off from the base. It was only being held together by what looks like small staples. This is an expensive item to be so defective. You are unable to return this item to the store or else I would have. I wish I could have my money back.
