  • A: After years of using phylo dough, I am guessing that to get gluten-free phylo you will need to make it yourself. I've never found a commercially available phylo that was not based on wheat.

  • A: It's very thin -stick with #10 - but in my experience that's what you want. Once you get good at it, you can get two big dishes out of each roll.

Q: On your Puff Pastry : Question : why do you add products such as Soy or i.e. Milk? to Puff Pastry that just requires , Regular Flour; Lard;Butter;Water;Salt;Lemon juice. Soy is a filler, or Wheat Flour and not Regular Flour?

Not as advertised

Advertised on Target shopping as vegan. No vegan statement on box. Instructions also state to use egg. First time to use, seems fine. Make sure to thaw as instructed for best results.

This is what philo dough is supposed to be like

Works well. Philo dough and puff pastry are different. This is a dry dough that you need to keep moist while working with. If you do it correctly it will work out well.

I used it to make spanakopitas and they came out great I was skeptical because of the bad reviews but this dough is really good. you need to work fast and keep the dough covered with a moist towel so it doesn't dry out

Great Phyllo Dough (It's SUPPOSED to be DRY!)

That's what Fillo Dough is SUPPOSED to be like: DRY. Not fatty! It is very dry actually and you have to work fast. If you let it sit out for a few minutes too long you have crumbles. A moist kitchen towel helps. If you're looking for a fatty/greasy dough you're not looking for fillo dough, you are looking for puff pastry dough. It's not the same!

Not sure why this product is labeled vegan when it contains honey? No idea why the manufacturer thought it needed even more sugar when it has tons of corn syrup.. the ingredient list is offensive.

Good for High Altitude Baking

Super easy to use! Just remember to FULLY defrost BEFORE rolling out. That's just what frozen dough does. Otherwise bakes perfectly at my high altitude.

Excellent and a great price. We bought 3 boxes and all were perfect. Tips for using: defrost in the fridge, dont unroll until completely defrosted, keep a well rung moist towel over dough so it dies not dry out. We made baklava. Each box comes with 2 individually wrapped roll. We made a tra with 1 1/2 rolls. We will be buying these again.

Terrible Quality
