caveatemptor...... let the buyer beware
This item was received broken, scratched, and chipped. The pieces are heavy and would be difficult to return. It was described as butcher block and pictured with 4 cooking utensils, neither of which is true. But the coup de grace is the warning conveniently placed on the underside of the " butcher block" top. Please see photo stating the item is not to be used for food preparation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little island is not so little. It is a nice square size and I love the storage space. The wooden utensils come in handy and so does the extra storage. I paired with a few bar stools. It’s quite tall. I only wish it were a bit longer.

It holds the two baskets under the top of the counter top. Plus extra space underneath. The quality is impeccable. I’ve not found one thing that I don’t love about it.

Powell black kitchen island
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powell black kitchen island is very well made. Takes only thirty minutes to put the kitchen island together. The kitchen island is very strong and sturdy. Comes with two sliding baskets for extra storage. Baskets are very strong and well made. The top of the island has a beautiful wood top that's been protected with a finish, that is very durable and protects from scratches and marks. Also has a bottom wooden rack where you store your paper towels etc. I definitely would recommend this product.

The Table We Didn't Know We Needed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The table we didn't know we needed! We have a small house, and the kitchen is very small so by the time this island table was fully built it took up the entire kitchen, LOL. We were bummed at first. Then we found this spot in our hallway and it is the perfect spot for our tiny first home! As you can see in the first picture, we have used it for all the things. My fiance said it was the perfect piece we needed and she has had fun decorating it. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the basket drawers do not slide in and out smoothly. They get stuck and it's just difficult to pull them in and out. It feels a little cheaply made, BUT it does the job for what we need and we feel like it matches our home beautifully.

The thick butcher block top is helpful for additional prep space in any kitchen. The two baskets are great to hold things you may need on a regular bases while preparing food. And you can put large appliances on the shelf to keep them off the counter when not in use.
