Easy to assemble and decent price

Good looking unit and not bad for sale price but definitely wouldnt pay full price… shelves are pretty thin, but thats not the issue for me…. We have had sooo many bookshelve cases thru the years and they have ALL had either notch in underside of shelf for pegs to seat in or pegs have had flat end for shelves to seat on…. These have neither… there is no notch under neath nor is there a flat in end on pegs. They are completely round. Its ok but definitely not nearly as well as could be.

Pretty nice bookcase for the price. The only thing I didn't like were the shelf pegs. They were completely round, so the shelf could roll easily. Luckily I had some shelf pegs with the flattened end so I used them instead. Now my shelves won't roll off of the pegs.

The bookcase is heavier, sturdier and not cheap-looking like those of typical low cost retailers.

This bookcase will be used in the spare room to hold children's books for the grandkids. We have purchased several Sauder products over the years and have never been disappointed. Than in you making quality products.

I have bought Sauder products in the past, so when I was looking for a bookcase, and the Sauder name popped up, I clicked, and a few days later, the package arrived. It seems Sauder has lost their edge. There are two ways in which the quality is less than I expected. 1) The simulated woodgrain on the back panel was printed off-center, leaving it unprinted along one edge. I got around this by installing the panel so the defect was at the bottom, where it will be covered by books, so people won't see it. But still, it should have been better. 2) The screw holes used to be covered by plastic plugs, that weren't elegant, but at least they looked like they were supposed to be there, but now the screw holes are covered with faux-woodgrain stickers that try to match the bookcase, but don't; they look cheap. Overall, the product looks like it was designed by accountants.

I purchased two Beginnings 3-shelf bookcases in 2008. This year (2025) I purchased a third. This new bookcase is narrower and shorter (and lacks a kick panel), with an inside volume about 70% of the older model. It is now impossible to set one shelf for binders and two for textbooks, one shelf being good only for small paperbacks. You can make a bookcase narrower, but you can't make it shorter. Books haven't shrunk. At best this is a large two-shelf case. Fortunately, I have a pair of bookends I used to create a fourth shelf on top. I am, however, left with two stacks of books that won't fit. Shrinkflation has now hit furniture.

Very easy to assembled and there is a lot of space on the shelves! I also love that I can always go back and re-adjust the shelves to make room for other decorations!

I've lost track of the number of Sauder products I've bought. I am never disappointed. Quality, value -- you don't need to look further.

This is the perfect little no-nonsense book shelf. Easy to assemble, looks good, holds the weight. I've got several of them in a row and they work well and look nice.
