A: I added an extra layer of varnish because they will be out in the elements all year. They look amazing!

Q: For the chair with the natural finish, does that mean you've already applied a clear stain to it? Or will we need to provide our own sealant or stain to finish the chair?

A: Natural finish means no stain or wood protection. Hemlock wood is used throughout this chair which has natural weather resistance properties, however applying some stain with weather sealant will help longevity.

Worst outdoor chair
If I could give zero stars I would. Bought these as I wanted something sturdy for outside, our plastic Adirondack chairs had broken enough times. Specifically researched these as they were made of wood and could fold up to store away in the winter. I assumed that due to them being an outside chair, they would have a protectant or some kind of outdoor paint on them. However, we have had them outside for maybe 3 weeks and the paint is already chipping/peeling on both chairs in several areas. The wood is also cracking in several areas. Mind you, it has been mostly sunny where we live (no hail or intense rain). So I have no idea why they are weathering at this rate. On top of that, each chair took about 1.5 hrs for my husband to put together. Worst $120 I have ever spent. I wish I could return or get my money back.

Very poor wuality
We bought these chairs (6 of them) in May 2025 and have rarely used them. For $450 and nearly a day of putting them together, this is what we have 5 months later. The paint peeled in less than a month. The arm rest broke off like it’s made of cheap wood. I’d never buy this product again.

Do not waste your money
I purchased 4 on the Labor Day sale. I put these chairs outside 2 weeks ago. It’s mild weather here this time of year, and they are shaded in the “hotter” late afternoon hours. But they are already starting to look weathered like I wouldn’t expect for AT LEAST a couple years. Certainly didn’t pay for chairs to look like crap within the first two weeks!!!!

I purchased this chair on May 20th. After 1 week the paint started to chip and progressively got worse throughout the summer. The final straw was when I looked out on my patio one morning, the front leg of the chair was broken. The chair was used once! Don’t buy this item!

Literally the worst purchase I made this year. 1) assembly was EXTREMELY difficult, even for me and I’m very handy and do wood working in my free time - the wood split, cracked, and was just flimsy overall, 2) we had them outside for 1 summer and within a few weeks they started chipping and the paint came off of all the arms + seats, even with super light use. 3) 350lb capacity seems like a stretch - anyone over 200lbs was worried about sitting in them as they didn’t feel sturdy. Overall, just spend more money on getting high quality chairs, don’t waste money on these. I can’t even resell them, they need to be trashed.

These chairs were difficult to put together due to all the screws and definitely on the small side for anyone tall. We opted to keep 2 out of 5 that we purchased. After a few weeks out on the patio and a couple rain falls the paint started chipping and peeling and they are very flimsy. The person who assembled them is very handy but it was poor quality.

Sray away from cheap quality
Would give this zero stars if I could. For the price the quality is horrible. The wood started splitting after one day. The paint started wearing off after one week and the arm just eventually split after a couple of months. It’s very hard to put together with cheap materials. Stay away from this low quality chair from this company.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I bought these chairs because they were similar to another set of Adirondack chairs I have. The first issue was having to assemble each piece of the chair. They should be called the IKEA Adirondack. The second issue is that we’ve only had them outside for a month and the paint has chipped off and the chairs are already cracking.

Extremely Poor Quality
We purchased 6 of these and within 3 months, they are all falling apart. The wood has split in numerous places and one of them broke while I was sitting in it. All of this is with minimal use. I would highly recommend finding a different value-option chair. You are far better off with the cheap plastic ones from your local box store. You may also take into consideration that you literally have to assemble every piece of wood you see here. Nothing is pre-assembled in box.

Lots of Assembly required
So far we are enjoying the chairs. They do take a lot of time and patience to put together, took us about 2 hours per chair. Some of the holes weren’t aligned so we had to redrill a few. We got the natural wood version so no worries with paint chipping, although we are considering getting a sealant for them so they last longer. Love the color of the natural wood as well!
