Q: Can the cord be replaced with a longer cord? Where the cord attaches to the top of the lamp is it perfectly fixed or can it be unscrewed to replaced?

A: Just for clarification my electriciancan disconnect the cord form the top of the lamp to add a longer cord? We had problems with a another lamp where the nut was welded on top and not able unscrew.

I am building a new home, and it is not done yet, but I plan on installing this pendant light in our dining room above the dining room table. It is a beautiful brass shade, and when I took it out of the box it is super lightweight so it should be easy to install. I love how modern looking it is and it goes will with my modern farmhouse look that I am going for. I cannot wait to install it in my new home once it is complete!
