Chiny Soukhoummalay is a Minneapolis-based illustrator and graphic designer. She aspires to spark curiosity and connection in her work through character design, exploring concepts of anthropomorphism. Her work pushes design to its limits through typography and combines it with illustration to tell stories. Often inspired by her experience, Laos culture, Vietnamese tradition, and family. She enjoys exploring all types of mediums from traditional color pencil, watercolor, and gouache to digital works like graphic design, animation, and photography to create a variety of projects like editorial work, pattern design, and packaging design.
