Owala 40oz FreeSip Stainless Steel Water Bottle

Received the bottle with scratches and nicks all over it

Loved everything about it. This if my first owala and I just loved being able to drink from the straw as well as the bigger opening. It is a perfect size if you drink a lot of water, I love it.

Straw missing, gave water bottle as a gift and the recipient notified me that the straw was missing. Now I have to try and go get s straw.

I love the fact that the 40oz Owala is the same width as my 26 oz yeti as well as the fact it is also about as tall as my yeti with the straw cap! So I don’t feel like I am carrying around something much larger. I was super curious about how easy the straw part would be to drink out of. It is easy, I don’t think about it and you get plenty of water too. I am also in love with the color combination! My Owala took acouple days to get the plastic smell out of but now it is absolutely fine!

I truly LOVE my Owala bottle. I kid you not, in the first week I was drinking 3-4 full bottles of water each day! That’s 120 oz to 160 oz of water per day which is mind boggling because before that I was struggling to finish at least to 32oz bottles. It’s all in the spout, whether you sip or chug, it is so easy to drink water without stopping. I was previously using a Camelbak Eddy+ and I loved that bottle but I found compared to the Owala the bite valve stopped you from getting a continuous flow of water between breathes. Plus it has a lid to cover the sip part which opens decently easy. I have found after the first few washes the lid catches when it goes to open, meaning it takes an extra second to pop open. It keeps the mouth piece clean even when dropped. If I dropped my Camelbak on the ground it would end up getting dirt, sand or mud depending on where it was dropped and the bite valve would need to be cleaned. The bottle comes apart and is easily cleaned. My main gripe is WHOEVER takes the product phots for Owala SUCKS!! Not once has a color way online matched what I have seen in store or received from an online order. If you want a particular color I recommend going to the store to pick it out and don’t rely on the product photos. Overall I highly recommend this bottle, I just wish the price was a bit lower and the colors were represented.

Mold issues with this owala bottle is horrible. I had filled the bottle overnight and next evening the rubber parts had mold in there.

It does not keep my drink cold for long at all. Im sticking with my Yeti and Brumate. The one thing I like is how the drinking spout is set up.

Terrible plastic smell that will not go away no matter how many times it’s washed or soaked. Do not buy!! They changed their materials that they use, their water bottles are not the same as previous ones

I bought the navy blue thinking it was my son‘s favorite color and there was no purple or pink on it so it was a great pic. However, when received and put in the light, you can tell it’s actually a dark purple color. The bottle is very nice and we do like the peals brand though.

Did a pick up order and received a bottle with the wrong lid and no straw

I got the Misty Meadow and the color is a little off. It’s more of a light sage green but it’s still a beautiful color.

A bit on the larger side but very useful and definitely serves its purpose.

I ordered a 40 oz. I paid for a 40 ounce and I received a 32 oz.

Love the size and color.

These are my new favorite water bottles. So easy to sip from and my water stays cool all day even with the top open.

Got the misty meadow high I thought was a little more blue but the green is growing on me!

I really like this brand. Sturdy, keeps my drinks cold and I like the straw feature so you don't have to tip the bottle in order to drink.
