Q: I can’t get the stopper out of the bottom no matter how hard I try. How is this possible? I tried the scissors and the butter knife already.

I don't keep mine open all the time because I feel like the smell is a little overpowering but when I do use it I stick all the sticks in together and fan them out. It makes for a very nice decor. It is a solid bottom. It is not going to tip over and you do not have to worry about a spill. The vanilla smell is very sweet. Not too much. This is high quality and would make for a very nice decorative piece for someone.

    Big fan of the scent (smells like men’s body wash) BUT even in a very small space, there is no scent. What I’m trying to convey is that either the reeds or the oil is sub par.

    Impossible to open

    Unfortunately, I was not even able to use the because the seal was impossible to get off, even after using a screwdriver and pliers. Will be returning.

The design is perfect the gray color fits perfect into any decor without standing out awkwardly. The set comes filled with the scented oil and a set of reed sticks to use. The smell reminds me of a soft vanilla musk. It’s just a hint of scent and not overpowering.

    Pick up in store if possible

    My reeds came bent from shipping. The adhesive used to attach the bottle to the reed packaging came off fine I thinks it’s because the packaging was sitting in the sun so I think the warmth help detach it. The stopper was hard to come off but I use jewelry plier to remove it and it came out fine. Can’t review the scent longevity but it smells nice, it’s not super strong.

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is super cute and simple- exactly how I like my house to look. The smell is STRONG. I still can’t get it off my fingers. The inside cap/seal was insane to remove- took me a good 5 minutes and a knife to finally pop it to have it go flyings and some of the oils to spill. Overall, it’s cute and simple and smells good but very strong.

The vanilla is sweet without being overpowering. One star removed cuz the sticky stuff on it will not come off which is ugly so i have to just hide that part of it. I wish they’d redesign that!

I use it in our walk in closet and it makes everything feel more elevated and luxurious but not overpowering. I don’t like the packaging however. There is a white foam glue strip stuck to the glass canister and it just won’t come off. I already spilled some liquid while trying to peel it off and just gave up. I don’t want to leave it in the living room or powder room because the white foam adhesive makes it look tacky even though the scent is beautiful.

    Hard to open

    Nothing makes me angrier than when these things are impossible to open. Just make it a screw off top, jeez. After 10 minutes and one broken nail later, I was FINALLY able to open it and it does smell lovely, so worth the battle I suppose.

    Worth It

    Like the other reviews have noted, the adhesive from the packaging is still stuck to the jar. That’s the only reason for the 4 stars. That’s a pretty first world problem, just don’t display it on that side. Otherwise, this is one of the best reed diffusers I’ve ever gotten. The scent is strong and lovely.

    Adhesive and interior seal are terrible design.

    I purchased in the store and should have read the reviews online first. The adhesive used to stick the bottle to the packaging is that thick, sticky foam adhesive that won't come off of the bottle. Also, the interior seal is incapable of being removed. I ended up using sharp scissors to cut an X into the seal to insert the reeds.

    Remarkably bad

    Have to confess that I probably bought this for the pretty bottle than the fragrance. Came here to leave a review and found others beat me to the punch. The white adhesive foam sticker will not come off despite multiple attempts even with an adhesive remover, the stopper is nearly impossible to get out (& just like others, nearly stabbed myself cutting it out) and after all that, the artificial smell is overpowering. Expect more from you, Threshold.
