Pretty, but definitely NOT as bright and colorful at night as I had hoped - based my purchase on prior reviews. . . In the evening, my globe shines only a pinkish-purle color throughout, and does so only in scattered spots. During the day the globe does sparkle somewhat in the sun, but I do not think I would purchase this item again (even at the sale price!).

We took it out of box put base together only two parts and took it outside and put it in our front yard . We let it sit in the sun for five six hours and once it got dark it glowed beautifuly in our yard we love it .

It automatically comes on at dusk, and stays on about 6 to 7 hours. It looks great on my patio. This one has really nice purple tones. It's a nice touch of light and color.

It lights up all night and it’s really pretty under my picture window. I’m surprised on how sturdy it is when the storms came through and it made it just fine.

It instantly draws your attention to it. In daylight it has reflective colors of purple, pink, blue, green, and any other color you can imagine. When the sun reflects off the mirrored pieces it puts little sparkles all over the yard. At night when it lights up, it's gorgeous. The fairy lights inside give off enough sparkle inside the globe and the mirror pieces make it look like there's more lights in it than there actually are. It takes on a beautiful shade of purple at night. The base is sturdy and securely holds the globe. The globe is a nice large size, larger than a basketball.. This is the most beautiful gazing ball I've ever seen in my life. Every time I look at it I'm in awe as well as anybody else that sees it. This would make a perfect gift for anybody, because anybody would love to have this.
